Can't be true...nothing negative is DJs fault! I remember when Dilfer (I think) said DJ not recognizing the Witherspoon blitz and hitting the hot receiver was high school stuff. Also odd how the sacks dropped off last year when TT was the QB, compared to a 5th year DJ and a rookie Devito.

Yes, it should be pointed out that Jones never played behind the same line twice and never behind the same line TT or TD played behind and the opposition should all so be taken into account. |

She pointed out a lot of what is wrong with DJ. He misses a lot of potential plays on the field every game. He is not a winning QB imo. I don't feel he is a NFL starter. He could be an adequate backup. We must use that clause in his contract and dump him after this year and save what money that we can.
I hope this video opened Giant fans eyes to what's wrong with our QB. Does anyone really think DJ is the answer to lead our offense ?

This is an old video, but she's not wrong.
Dan Jones just isn't good. The biggest issue I have with him, is his inability to get better. He makes the same mistakes he made as a rookie.. stares down targets, does not go through progressions, double pumps the ball for unknown reasons(does not trust his own weak arm?) Read his college scouting report, it's all there.
Even viewing just his college career, you will notice he never got better year from year.

Jones does not see the field well. Seeing the field in the ACC is different then in the NFL. Its been 5 yrs and so far the instincts in the pocket as well a seeing the field well is just not there. There are fans that want to believe it will change some how and make excuses for him. Its time to move on. Schoen and Dabol depend on a top notch QB to extend there tenure with the Giants. I find it hard to believe there future lies in the hands on Daniel Jones.

Thomas didn't play in TTs first start and there was still a night and day difference. AT might have made a small difference, but DJ not recognizing blitzes, not hitting hot receivers, and holding the ball too long were a much bigger factor. |

I've watched enough of Daniel Jones to not need anybody to bait me for a click .... if they go into this season with Jones/Lock....and our amazing WR we draft at 6, this team will be looking for a new staff year end.
Jones playing/starting... is suicide, even with the fantasy freak wide receiver at 6.
Trade up for the QB ...anything else is silly
If they can't ...trade back every day and accumulate an IOL, RT, DT, secondary and maybe another tight end option...oh, running back...and yeah, a WR at some point that can run a crisp route and has sticky hands....but do QB. Seriously....my math says QB.
The top 4 are huge upgrades over Jones....YUGE!

I agree and this wasn't pointed at you or really anyone just we can find an opinion on the computer that backs any narrative how about at least a good one that has some work behind it with some film to support it. I was agreeing with you. There are some pretty good pods where they put in hours and days of work to come to there conclusions, people who actually have some idea of what the play is being run and a clue of what QB and WRs responsibilities are along with OL on a given play. Which in reality a good film guy will tell you at times, they can't be sure on certain breakdowns without being in the actual play book who's responsibility something is some times they know by the concept being run. At the end of the day it is difficult for us watching atV version or all 22 to know exactly who is responsible for what unless you see a 1 on 1 situation where it is just s tight loss or the QB air mails a ball to a WR/RB with nothing but green in front of them, there are times where guys might be open because they are not where they are supposed to be and other times where they are just missed. |

If you like football and want to know the why something happened find a pod cast that has someone who played or works in the industry that can really break down film and answer the questions with film. Even then they still can't tell you everything because they don't have the playbook in front of them even a wide open WR could be miss read if they run the wrong route against a certain coverage or leverage. I'm not saying Jones has 0 responsibility because he has plenty but i saw it on other pods break downs of what he is doing wrong there is plenty but most of the time it isn't what people think. |

We all pretty much know that it is not good right now for DJ think the Giants do to it doesn't mean they are gonna go down the list of the top 7 QBs and pick the next one in line if the guys they liked are gone.
