This is why I stress if the QB you want is there at 6 you get him at 6 nothing is a guarantee

Looks like the writer of the article is just speculating like everyone else.
I doubt Schoen will trade up but I know they've scouted QBs..so who knows.
Schoen has said this in the past...
"I would say where we are right now, as many at-bats as you can get, as many swings as you can get, I think that's important where we are as a team," he said, via the team's official website

I'm sure the Giants are aware that pick 47 is probably out of the range of Penix and even Nix.
Which I imagine is the motivation for the trade-back scenario.

That would be a mistake just drafting a guy to draft the position these guys might prove other wise they aren't Lamar Jackson one doesn't have the arm and the other doesn't have the legs, wasted premium draft capital for a team with more holes than swiss cheese |

I do to and 2 or 3 of them most likely willl be the DJs of this class with flashes that keep fans excited and loss that out number those flashes times 2 or 3. Raiders or Hawks will risk with Penix. |

If the Giants are gonna reach for 1 of those guys that might as well get something for it with a trade down, instead of wasting their second and 3rd to go back up and get one of them.
IMHO If they miss on their QB they should stick and pick get one of of the big 3 at WR a premium position that will help the future QB along with who ever they draft with the rest of their capital this year and next.
The only way they should grab one of them mid first say from 10 to 20 is to collect capital while doing it not trading away capital.

Has healed well Good character Experienced Great demeanor Problem is what he did when he ran doesn't show up on tape he turns into 45% passer and takes sacks when the rush is on him the NFL is cloudy and muddy in the pocket more then it's not. This is a risky pick to say the least hopefully for us they get who they want JJ or Maye at 6. |

Penix is my guy.........the least bust potential.
Could trade back with Denver or Minny and take him at 11/12 and get extra draft capital.

The more assets the better. Same, I feel if were going that route why waste capital might as well get some in return and take your guy and try to build up around him. Trading back into the first to draft guys that are questionable first round talents would hurt they will lose more capital I'm not sold on Penix or Nix I was then late year Penix was starting to fade some Nix has played a lot maybe he is at his ceiling already. Just think they should draft a QB in top 3 rounds only if they see him as a guy who can be winning in the post season sometime during his rookie contract. |
