Beckham was a 1 man gang. Those first 3 seasons were unstoppable. His first 3 years are even with Randy Moss as the best ever by a WR. And his rookie year he missed 4 pre season games and the first 4 games of his rookie year and still put up over a 1,000 yds, double digit TD's, and I believe over 90 catches. He was unstoppable.
Barkley's rookie year was a monster year also too bad he got hurt the next few years. My dream why I was so high on drafting Barkley was so that OBJ and Saquon could play together in the same offense. I had illusions of grandeur. Injuries and the OL collapsed once again trashed my dream.

I went Barkley just a better team guy when he gothic playoff shot he kept his mouth shut and was a team guy on the run to it and stayed home study the D and helped his team win an Improbable road playoff game.
OBJ and his WR room went on vacation and let a possible playoff upset slip through their fingers with lack of concentration drops.

Just goes to show getting a good QB can mask deficiencies and highlights strengths on the roster.

It close, but Barkley had the better career when you account for everything, and you have to account for everything on and off the field, as well as positional value.
The Giants couldn't win without Barkley. They could do nothing but lose with Beckham.

The question is asking you to remove emotions and just state who was the better player for the Giants. Better player includes no antics, no unnecessary penalties and no drama coupled with on field performance for my criteria. Agreed. The question wasn’t who had the most talent. To me, “player” is all encompassing talent, attitude and contributions on and off the field. Odiva was a f’in headache on and off the field. He was a distraction on the sideline, several times, and always had other players around him to calm him down instead of focusing on the game. There’s a difference between passion and not being able to control your emotions by acting like a ****ing toddler. I cpuld be wrong here but it can also be argued that he cost is a playoff opportunity the year he got suspended for a win and in game because he got 3 personal fouls against Norman. Then the boat trip, the “interview”, the net kick, the pizza “flour”…I was one of the few people that applauded DG for trading his ass. It’s actually one of the few times I’ve ever not bashed DG. And for the few DJ fanbois who give all the credit to Jones for the 2022 season and playoff win, did you ever think of Barkley literally carrying the team that season? He rushed for over 1300 yards in 2022 and had over 110 yards with 2 TD’s against MN in the playoffs. How many playoff games did Odell help us win? Eh hem..boat trip…eh hem…dropping TD pass that hit him in the bread basket.

It was a phenomenal pick. Without injuries, he was on his way to a HOF career while with the Giants I’d take Aaron Donald or Zack Martin over him. Both HOFers. Both needs for the Giants at that time. Both great character guys. I would too!

Both great character guys. I wanted Martin at the time. Donald is a 1st ballot beast he probably was the best pick that year.

It was a phenomenal pick. Without injuries, he was on his way to a HOF career while with the Giants I ran Reese through the mud.. And backed over him for good measure. But there was no denying he had an eye for talent at wide receiver. Absolutely. As well as interior DL. It looks like evaluating OL is something everyone seems to be bad at

On the field it was Beckham by a mile. If you're taking all the off-the-field stuff into account then it's much closer since those 2 were night and day in that regard. Would still have to go with OBJ all things considered. He was just too dominant.
