He retired as soon as he mentioned he was weighing retirement.
What a terrible trade that was.
Wasted our pick we got from Toney.

at least he announced it before the end of the draft. Not like we were going to take a TE in the first 2 rounds anyway...

He retired as soon as he mentioned he was weighing retirement. What a terrible trade that was. Wasted our pick we got from Toney. I know it’s early, but at the end of the season for shits and i checked out about 20 players taken after Waller’s pick. . Maybe one of them turns into something, but other than Mekhi Blackmon, it’s alot of players not contributing anything yet. They’re basically 4th rounders so it is early for players taken that late. you’re not wrong, but so far we’re not missing anything without that pick.

He certainly is going through a lot of shit right now. if you know someone in recovery, a divorce is a really dangerous thing.

He certainly is going through a lot of shit right now. I don't blame him if he does retire because of non football issues. If I was in this situation, I'd like to think I'd rather be around teamates and coaches, focusing on getting whatever team I am playing for back into the playoffs. Not sure what his contract is like, he might not have much incentive money wise.

So our offense gains Nabers, and loses Waller and Barkley.... Good luck with Jones in 2024.

And the defense loses Williams and McKinney yet gains Burns and Nubin i guess the upgrades are on the OL which nobody can trust until we see them block. Then add in Jones who we hope is healthy and wonder if he can even be Tannehill.

Waller is a classic example of why its a mistake to bring in a player whose best years have been with another team, its just wishful thinking .

Waller is a classic example of why its a mistake to bring in a player whose best years have been with another team, its just wishful thinking . Walker looked good when on the field in an awful offensive situation. I've got no problem with the talent portion of the trade, he definitely still has the ability. What he seems to also have is a chronic hamstring issue and his personal life is unfortunately in a tough place right now. Like someone else said, we didn't miss out on anything wild because we made that trade. It's just disappointing that our two big offensive moves since trading OBJ have been Kenny Golladay and trading for Waller.

When the Raiders who could use him part ways, hint, they didn’t want him for a reason.

I think he displayed that talent on plenty of occasions last year when healthy, especially relative to the garbage offense and QB play he had. He was our best skill position player.

I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't retire. After the divorce, he has nothing holding him in Las Vegas. Unless he has lost interest in football or has something going for him elsewhere, he may stay.

I think both Slayton and Robinson were more consistent and played to their potential. Waller wasn't as bad as perceived though. Projected to over 70 catches on the season. Waller just never came up with the big plays in big spots, but he was still productive.
