Once a Giant.. Always a Giant. To some those are just words. To us they hold weight. When you rock the colors and put the logo on your helmet. You’re part of a million strong. When you need a second to grasp some air.. we’ll breathe new life into you. When your joints and ligaments start to tear you down. We will pick you up.
When we lose one of our own. We let the world know your name. Aaron Thomas was way ahead of his time. A tight end by trade.. a mismatch for all who opposed him. It’s been a lifetime ago since you hung up the cleats. But this base will make sure your legacy lives on.

Number 88. Old enough to have seen him play.

Rosie Brown gave me an 8x10 promo photo of Aaron which I believe he signed. I will track it down and post it in this thread.
RIP.

FYI ...........................the brown stuff on the Uniforms is dirt, some of you younguns might not have ever seen that.

It’s very uncommon for people to have seen dirt in their life. To the fans who never got the chance. Go look out your window. Walk out your front door.. Go take a trip to Florida. Old candlestick park where we had many wars. Was a mud pit when it rained.

R.I.P. Aaron Thomas # 40 was my favorite Giant, but you (# 88 ) were a close second

One of the first in a long line of effective TEs that the Giants had in the 60s that continued for a few decades.
Terrific Giant. RIEP

Watching on TV you couldn't tell which team was which the mud was so thick on the uniforms you couldn't tell what team a player was on except by their helmets. Aaron played in that game and I believe he scored the Giants lone TD in that 7-7 tie. #88 was a darn good player. R. I. P. Aaron

The younguns here didn't know AT and very few remember the Giants playing on the infield of Yankee Stadium or any dirt field stadium. There were games were it was hard to tell what teams were playing from the pics.
