Barkley for the 7/8/9/10 may not be great considering we took him # 2 but this is now a full on rebuild they took their shot at winning now. This is a 3 year process now minimum given everything we need which is everything. He’s going to get beaten to a pulp playing on this team while it’s awful. Move him and use the pick to get a long-term piece like an OT.

Nope.
I think the only players that are "safe" are DG's own draft picks.

Nope. I think the only players that are "safe" are DG's own draft picks. I have no problem with Barkley but this isn’t going to end well for him. His legs are gonna be taking a beating in meaningless lost seasons for at least 3 more years. We need key positions no way to solve all quickly and a QB takes time to develop on top of our other needs.

Stop acting like we are run by smart people, that’s a mistake. You can not use a RB as the centerpiece of a roster rebuild. We need EVERYTHING. QB? Yup need that OTs? Yup need those Corners? Yup Pass Rushers? All set, oh wait yea need that too NT? He’s on the Lions so need one of those

Omg just stop...were not trading Barkley In 2022 Barkley will be a FA who has never seen the playoffs and will want $20 million a year. I’ll take the Browns 1 over that.

On WFAN they were talking about trading Beckham this morning. These ideas are absurd. You don't trade Barkley, you don't trade Beckham. Come on man.

On WFAN they were talking about trading Beckham this morning. These ideas are absurd. You don't trade Barkley, you don't trade Beckham. Come on man. Beckham can’t be dealt too much dead cap mi eat. Barkley can 100% be dealt. The Giants will do what they are going to do, but if it’s on the path they’re on it won’t work. They are 1-6 and hold the 1 pick and are selling guys off from there.....we are the worst in football and getting worse before we get better. You do not run the process building around a RB who is going to eventually catch his leg in the wrong spot or just see the hits take their toll.

Why would the Giants trade Barkley, after just drafting him at No. 2, in the hopes of getting more draft picks to use on players next year who may not have his natural talent? You don't casually get rid of players that are considered to have 'once in a generation' talent especially when you're rebuilding.

Johnson on Detroit was better in college and is better in the NFL. He’s averaging over 6 yards a carry after being the SEC player of the year.

But we're not talking about Johnson or the Lions. Barkley was being called a generational RB heading into the draft and was considered the best player in the draft. But putting that aside, Gettleman is already taking heat from some people for not drafting a QB at No. 2. If he just traded Barkley away to try and get more picks next year that would be an admission that he made massive mistake.

And we stink and will for awhile. It’s not about having a fantasy RB it’s about rebuilding at the key long term positions.

And a rebuilding team that will likely have a rookie QB under center next year needs a stud RB to help take some of the pressure off of that rookie QB.

( that in itself is pure idiocy for the Giants ) Essentially give the browns this years 1, 2 ,4 in the first round in this past draft. ( again pure stupidity for the Giants) I think we have a Browns fans among us.
