We don’t have a third round pick currently. It was already used on a corner. It is not like we traded it away or lost it. We filled a need with that pick. Too bad he had freak shoulder injury in the beginning of workouts.

Lock will rise once the scouts get him at the combines and pro days....guy can make ALL the throws and has a cannon.
IMHO, he is the best demon of the "projects" of our QB hell...but he certainly is not worth a trade up, or a 6 pick on him.
As far as QB's not handling pressure well, not many can...and that goes for the better Manning, Brady and the rest of the pure pocket passers. That comes down to experience, reads and checks....or extending the play, something I want with our next franchise prayer. Get a 4 man rush on any QB and you will probably win the game....Giants simply need to build the wall as the Colts did (Nelson?...I'd take him all day long over Barkley again and again....football games are won with the fat boys) and rely on Shurmur getting his receivers open with his playcalling...which he can do.
Build the wall and then get the QB.

Build the wall and then get the QB. This is why I prefer the trade back scenario if one of the top QBs fall to us(unless Shurmer is 100% the guy there is the guy,as he probably has ultimate say here) Perfect scenario is get back to where Miami is as that guarentees another first and probably the top 10 1st to put us in striking range of a guy and a trade up if needed)and get what you can for an additional day 2 pick(the next years first is the most important if passing on a qb this year) Plenty of resources to get the biggest needs, pass rushers,O line depth and talent this year,so if we have to do the ultimate mortgage next year(the RG lll packages of 2 extra firsts and possibly something else, though the extra 2020 1st would prolly lessen the need for anything else )most of the infestructure is built and a new qb can walk right in and start at a high level day 1
