If he had "slow" hands he wouldn't be knocking them 400+ feet out of the park. Not worried about this kid, he'll get there. Been out most of the season and you expect him to come back sharper then ever? Gee, can't wait for the excused you rollout when the highest paid under achievers go one and done again post season It will be interesting to see what Boston does in the playoffs. Of the other playoff teams in the AL the Red Sox have the most to prove in the playoffs. They have shrunk in the big spot the last two Octobers. Because they weren't that good and their pitchers were overused.

Nice dinger by Sanchez. If he stays hot this month we have chance at being 5th team in history with seven guys at least 20 hrs...Didi, Torres, Stanton, judge, Hicks, andujar....given up on bird getting there. Mccuthen can get there too, but wonder if that still counts as most would have been with a different team

I'm glad they won tonight, especially since the A's will be in Baltimore for three games starting tomorrow.

The season starts anew in 3 weeks. Making the dance is all that matters.

With Boone @ the helm nothing will be a surprise. Brilliant decision starting sunny gray - now that's a real oxy-moron - as well as Sanchez who hits a homer periodically and then compensates with an all-star play behind the plate. 2 games ahead in the wild card. Oh boy!

Oakland wins 10-0, and Yanks lose 3-1.
I guess I'll be watching the Wild Card game on TV, and not in the Bronx.

question: if Yankees break record for most players having at least 20 HRs (Sanchez needs 4, McCutchen needs 2), does it still count as a record as most of McCutchen's dingers were on another team's roster?
If so and they both get there (which would require Sanchez to get white hot, I know), that would bring us to 8, 1 more than current record of 7:
Stanton Judge Andujar Torres Hicks Didi *Sanchez *McCutchen

Luke Voit, welcome to the 10hr club One of those home runs was with the Cardinals, so he still needs to hit one more "Pinstriped" home run to join the 10HR club in the Bronx. Great win tonight. Sevy might be back on track!

Great moment for the Sox last night but I am rooting hard for Oakland. The Yankees can hit our starting pitchers. Price, Porcello and Erod would probably fare a lot better vs. the A's.

What is it with playing the lowly Orioles this season? A's are going to catch us, I just know it. What the Sux were to the division, As are to WC. We play against Ray's who own us and Sux in their building. Our only hope now is tie breaker with As

Yanks may lose Didi for rest of 2018 season. Shortstop has cortisone injection after tearing cartilage in right wrist. The run that punched the Yankees' ticket into the American League Wild Card Game may have come at a significant cost. Didi Gregorius could miss the remainder of the season after an MRI performed on Sunday morning revealed torn cartilage in the shortstop's right wrist. Gregorius said he sustained the injury sliding headfirst into home plate on Aaron Hicks' 11th-inning walk-off double in New York's victory over the Orioles on Saturday. Gregorius had a cortisone injection in the wrist on Sunday and said he is hopeful that he can still participate in the postseason push. www.mlb.com/yankees/news/didi-gregorius-injured-may-miss-rest-of-2018/c-295764968

So Torres to SS and Walker at 2B probably the rest of the way. Man, right when the team finally got healthy as its been all season, another blow. This one really hurts too.
He didnt even need to slide head first...
