Andujar hits his 45th double of his rookie season. Passing Joe DiMaggio's Yankee rookie record.

Who's in the line up tomorrow? Seriously with our luck and the nasty fans and players at Fenway, I just wish they could just call up an all AAA team.

Which team's season will be over in October first? The Yankees or the Giants?

And just like that Luke Voit makes history by hitting the HR that set the overall team record They had it already... 265 yesterday by Torres. I dont like how they laid down today. I would have actually cared about this game. They have off the next 2 days. Play to win. Anyways, pretty cool how there will be 2 game 163's tomorrow. That should be fun.

It's why they scratched Severino from starting in this WORTHLESS game, after they clinched home field for the wild card game Friday night.

Fair enough. I still wanted them to win. I never want to throw away a game vs the Red Sox.Its not WORTHLESS or anything lol. It's still a game. I'm ok giving a rest to some who needed to heal though. Starting Cessa over Sheffield or Adams shouldn't of happened. And th em should have pitched CC 2 innings. I dont think Andujar locked up the ROY the way some writers and voters speak about Ohtani. I'd vote for him but I think a lot will vote Ohtani.

Hoping the Yanks are reading the BS crap the A's are doing in putting "Boston" in bold black caps on their flight itinerary after the Yanks game. That team has no legit starting pitching & will be throwing all their RPs at the Yanks lineup. Really hoping the Yanks smoke their cocky butts right outta the stadium. Wonder whom the Sox would rather face, Yanks or A's?

October 2, 1978.
Bucky "Bleepin" Dent earned his new middle name 40 years ago today, when he hit his three run home run barely over the left field wall.

Sev better have a short hook. Very short. Tanaka backing him up.
Looks like Happ is going to be the game 1 starter vs Boston if they get there.

The colorman announcers are terrible tonight. Like a high school game on radio Eckersley is basically rooting for the A's. What a jack-off. Now he gets to call a Red Sox - Yankees game... wow, wonder who he will be jerking off to in that one.... Seriously, he just kept getting upset balls were called balls for the Oakland pitchers. Disgusting. HE should never call a game again.

That said, YANKEES WIN!
Aaron Judge starts it off with a majestic 2 run bomb. Sevy goes 4+ 2 hits, 4 walks and 7 Ks. ZERO RUNS. Command was a bit off, but he was jacked. No hits thru 4. Luke Voit continues to amaze. Up 3-0, 2nd and 3rd, and he bashes one to right off the wall inches from a HR after 10 pitches off Oaklands great closer. What an at bat! Stanton blasts one into orbit in the 8th. Britton gave up a 2 run HR to Davis but settled down after.
Good guys win 7-2
Lets move on to Boston!
Sale vs Happ Game 1 Price vs Tanaka Game 2 Severino vs Porcello Game 3 CC vs ???? Game 4
My guesses anyway

Oh, and forgot to say, CONGRATS ON SANCHEZ for playing GREAT behind the plate. Looked like a wall out there tonight. So many in the dirt he squashed. Hat tip. Now just get that bat going!
