I know the kid needs reps to get used to NFL football, but I doubt he plays more than 4 series. I also highly doubt we see any huge plays/big runs from him. I think this will be done purposefully to ease him into the game. I could see Shurmur telling him to not look for the huge play, but to get the fundamentals working: hold onto the ball, work with the OL, etc. I am totally ok with this approach. Whereas I think the Browns are going to have Mayfield out there most of the game. The guy will complete a 12 yard pass and he's the next Brady.
....and of course the entire media will immediately announce Barkley as a bust.

I don't see Mayfield playing more than a series or 2 tbh. He's the first pick and future potential franchise QB of the team.

Games 1&4 are usually throw away games for the starters. They see most of the action they will get In games 2&3 if at all

I really do not wish to see Odell out there tonight, not with that douchbag Williams coaching their defense Not worth it,give Latimer the start with Sheppard.

I would like to see just a little of Barkley tonight, I mean...like when you buy a new car and you just want to sit in it and look around.

The only good thing about facing his defense is that the o line is going to get a very good test tonight because he holds nothing back Maybe we also get our first look at Hernandez as our "enforcer"

I expect SB to get at least 2 series under his belt & I agree about keeping OBJ off the field tonight. I'd play OBJ sparingly in week's 2-3 & keep him out of week 1-4. Sb, imo needs to play 2-3 series in week's 1-2 & play a half vs the Jets then 1-2 series in the finale vs NE. That should be more than enough playing time in the preseason for him.

There is no OB plays one snap tonight. That would be a huge mistake on his part. He is proving in practice he is healthy and even there they hav been limiting his play. Plus he is digging for a new big money contract so playing a preseason game would be unwise.

OBJ has already been announced as inactive tonight. I'd like to see Barkley play one series, and I'd love to see good things from Webb. The game will be sloppy, so we can't base too much on what happens, so I'll just enjoy the fact that GIANTS FOOTBALL is back!!

Solid run to start the game! His patience, vision, and burst were all on display there.

Solid run to start the game! His patience, vision, and burst were all on display there. it was a sick run. The Browns had him wrapped up and he made a few moves and got loose. Some of these type of runs will turn into TD.

Like I said: not much of him tonight, but DAMN he introduced himself with a 39 yard run on the first play.

Solid run to start the game! His patience, vision, and burst were all on display there. unfortunately that was the highlight of the game, went downhill fast from there (not so much for Saquan individually mind you)
