I was impressed with his running tonight. I have a good feeling about the RB's that are on this roster. IF this damn Oline can get its act together what a big deal for the offense and the team. Did anyone here follow him in college?

How many RBs past the first three are they going to keep do you think??
Barkley Stewart Gallman
So do they keep 1 or 2 additional RBs on final 53? I'd hate to see a young kid with some good potential get cut because of Stewart

Yeah I thought both SImmons and Martin looked good. But I thought Martin was just a tad better. Ran just as well as Simmons but was faster.

RB - Jonathan Stewart Stewart, in all likelihood, is rather entrenched as the Giants' No. 2 running back behind Saquon Barkley, but it was a rough debut for the former Carolina Panthers' back on Thursday night. The lone sack surrendered by the Giants' first-team offense came when the Browns brought a double a-gap blitz right up the middle, and Stewart failed to pick up Mychal Kendricks, who sacked Eli Manning for a 10-yard loss with 4:47 remaining in the first quarter. Likewise, Stewart lacked burst on both of his carries, finishing with just three yards rushing. Vs. RB - Jalen Simmons Simmons facing an uphill climb to make the roster, but he made the most of his carries on Thursday night. After Zak DeOssie recovered a Browns fumbled punt, S immons capped a four-play scoring drive with a five-yard touchdown run with 10:25 remaining in the third quarter. By game's end, Simmons had seven carries for 38 yards while averaging 5.4 yards per attempt. It is noteworthy that Simmons both entered the game and logged a carry before fellow UDFA Robert Martin. www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2018/08/giants_preseason_stock_report_whos_rising_after.htmlwww.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2018/08/giants_preseason_stock_report_whos_rising_after.htmlMartin looked better than simmons in the first outing i thought. elitesportsny.com/2018/08/09/new-york-giants-jalen-simmons-robert-martin-looking-make-impact/

All of our Running Backs looked good . I can't remember the last time I said that. yeah man. one thing to be positive about is the run game looked better than we are used to for sure. That indicates they got some run blocking. So it's not all bad news. Look forward to seeing what having OBJ out there does .......

I doubt they carry 4 on the roster Barkley, Stewart and Gallman Jr are set in stone.

It would be unpleasant if we cut him, then he got picked up by the 'Skins (Guice injury) and he became a thorn in our side for years to come. Yuck.

I remember years ago a real good TE we let go Ed McCaffrey. I knew this guy was gonna be real good. He went to the Broncos and had a great career. I say we keep 4 RB's add Simmons or Martin to the squad. The RB position usually gets a decent amount of injuries.

All of our Running Backs looked good . I can't remember the last time I said that. Not Wayne Gallman. He did look good. He runs north and south head on into the Defense. He will beat up linebackers. Especially if they can not put their head down to make contact. He has good hands (showed that he did) and moved the ball in catching the ball.
