NE looking sharp like a well oiled machine up 27-7 on eagles near halftime. Brady spreading ball around to decker, Hogan, Edelman and another new white guy. Where do they find these guys?? James White taking a screen for about 30 yards to the house right before half.
Seems like this was game 3 instead of game 2. I know most of their stars did not play or played very little last week but I would not of thought Brady would go 2 qurarters in first action of year
Anyway for once I'd like the Giants O to look like that.
By the way Foles took a big hit on a fumble and hurt his shoulder. Could be trouble for them if Wentz is having slow start cause he's not ready

I'm with you Mike, didn't think he would play the entire first half. Hahaha! You think they were trying to send the Eagles a message with the Super Bowl and the trash talking leading up to this game? Also unfortunate Nick Foles was injured.
In other news, you see the banner an Eagles fan had flown above Gillette Stadium during the game? Hahaha! Eagles fans SMH

Leave it to Eagles fans to act like they've won multiple SBs instead of just one. It's not like they beat Brady twice in a SB and ruined the Patriots 'perfect' season.

That was B&B's way of getting some "payback" on Philly. Since when does the starting QB play an entire half in the 2nd preseason game? That's why NE has been the most successful NFL team in history the past 17yrs, they hate losing. Sadly, as usual, I see no AFC team capable of KOing them off the perch this yr. Certainly no one in their div, no one in the AFCW. Maybe Pitt, Houston, Oak? And forget it if NE locks up the #1 seed, no one goes into their house in Jan & comes away with a win, the refs will make sure of that.

The league has shown that they don't like the Pats very much.

Wow, how quick we forget about the BS 'Tuck" rule or the refs helping them out last yr vs J-Ville. Had those games been in Oak or J-ville, NE doesn't get those calls.

I want to make sure I understand you here.......Because 17 years ago, a ref made a call, that was the correct call by the rules (the rule was only changed a few years ago) the refs are somehow in the pocket of the Pats?
Who would be directing this? The league? That's far fetched because the league just spent $4MM to investigate, and God knows how much to litigate....and took the Pats to one step below the Supreme Court to suspend Tom Brady for deflated balls.
I'm not sure what you're basing this on.

GTFO here it was the "correct" call. That was a damn fumble any way you look at it. If it was such a great rule, why did they get rid of it? Whyw as it that I never heard the "tuck" rule ever called again? A suspension of 4 games in Sept isn't gonna hurt NE, how bout all 4 Dec games? And again, you're gonna stand there & tell me the refs woulda pulled the "tuck" rule in Oakland? You know better than that.

The purpose of the rule was to take the judgement calls away from refs as much as possible. The rule was designed so they didn't have to decide the intent of the passer. So if the ball is in the possession of the passer and his arm is moving forward...it's a pass if his arm is hit or he loses possession. It was a dumb rule but the leagues kept it for years after to save face. They finally changed it a few years ago.
Sorry if you didn't realize it.

Plz give me links to games in which the "tuck" rule was used after the NE game. Proof is in the pudding. And again, I see you refuse to answer my question. Would the 'tuck" rule have been called had the game been in Oakland? Yes or no.

And the tuck rule was called against the Pats in NE that same year with Vinny Testeverde and the Jets.
Here is the rule. enacted in 1999 and rescinded in 2013. Tell me how they got it wrong.
NFL Rule 3, Section 22, Article 2, Note 2. When [an offensive] player is holding the ball to pass it forward, any intentional forward movement of his arm starts a forward pass, even if the player loses possession of the ball as he is attempting to tuck it back toward his body. Also, if the player has tucked the ball into his body and then loses possession, it is a fumble.[1]

That's called a fumble anyway you wanna slice it. How in the hell can they say that "losing possession of the ball" is not a fumble? That was a stupid BS rule & should never have been called. But the game was in NE & the NFL hated Al Davis at the time & no way did they want Oak to advance & you pulling the "how the heck would I know" card shows a lack of integrity on your part cuz you know full damn well that the BS "tuck' rule would not have been called had the game been played in Oak.

It's NOT a fumble any way you slice it. The rules say it's an incomplete pass.
Did you want the refs to call it differently because they thought it was a dumb rule? You want refs doing that kind of thing?

Refs are calling legal legit hard hits on QBs RTP due to the BS overprotection they now get, isn't that calling the rule differently? They already do it. Yeah, a player drops a ball, it's a fumble. So can a QB pump fake 5x & then drop the ball & it's not gonna be a fumble? GTFO!

I am obviously not discussing this with someone who is willing to be reasonable....which is clearly a waste of my time.
