It's actually worse to be you fatbody & your homey that agrees with your every word like it's gospel. 2 fat internet keyboard warriors taking smack about a veteran who served but w/o an iota of proof, wanna say I didn't. It's alright that youse (Brooklyn slang) didn't have the cojones to serve this country & leave mommy's basement for 4 or more yrs, someone's gotta stay home with the women & children. Any other poster here who served, especially in the suck, knows I'm the real deal. When it comes to your little petty "Fake Marine or Gomer" comments, it's comical due to the fact that in person, face to face, you wouldn't call out anyone's service, be it my own or anyone else's You can pull the tough guy, "yeah I would" card all ya want, ya know better, plus you know what you would get if ya did. BTW, I'm waiting on the link that has scientific proof that ALL obesity in this country is caused by "thyroid" issues. I'm also still waiting for anyone to look up the "fat shaming" comments I supposedly said about Lorenzen. Carry on maggots! Chill....a bit out of line here ITs not his fault , he had bone spurs that prevented him from being drafted. this guy is rude and a fatest.

Can't read through everything at work, but did we really take a 14.5M cap hit for this?? I've also seen we're taking an $11M hit. I've also seen we're taking a $3.5M hit. If we took a hit, I really, really hope it's only $3.5M.....I'm sick of sticking up for DG and don't know if I can do it if we lose $14.5M for not waiting a few more weeks to release him. Appreciate any insight! Only 3.5 of his 14.5 was guaranteed, saved 11m by him not being on 2020 roster. He was a goner either way, now or in three weeks.....

So...putting aside my, or anyone's opinion about Janoris Jenkins as a player or otherwise.........I think a guy losing his job because he said something that was "un-PC" , suggests a world gone crazy Like it or not....admit it or not.......Every one of us has used that word in conversation. This is madness as far as I'm concerned. I don't really think it was because of that, but rather an excuse. he wasnt going to be retained anyway and had mouthed off about coaches before. Yeah Beat me to it and also a nice shot across the bow to the players that nobody is safe ...n

(and I have mixed feelings about JJ as a player and a tiny bit of a loose cannon) We need to put a lid on this shit in our country. I am sure he offended someone but 'someone' shouldn't govern whether a person can continue to have a job. If the threshold is that anyone who offends anyone needs to lose their job, we are in deep shit.

Transition tag may actually be the better move here. And risk losing him because of a cleaver poison pill(some stipulation that the team making the offer doesnt have to worry about that we do...ie...a team that plays on natural grass at home makes a poison pill saying if Williams plays on more than 7 games on field turf inn2020 his 5th year automatically goes to 35 million fully guaranteed....or something The last CBA supposedly removed the ability to add poison pills. If we went transition tag we would save about 3 million next year and would remove the scenario of a player thinking he would've been able to get more somewhere else. That being said, I must be missing something because I can't remember the last time a transition tag was used.

Taking a cap hit like the one that was expressed by Navy makes this another dumb choice where a suspension would've been better to do. After what happened with his text and the weak excuse for it without apologizing makes this move an expected one but dam another 14 mil of dead money for next season sucks.. Dead money next year is only $3.5, not easy to say only to $3.5, but just want to get the facts out there

DrRumack & Infinite420 - Appreciate the insight! That's great news and is in line with what I had heard prior to today, but texts from various idiot friends and cousins were saying something different. Glad this is the case.

Gettleman is an absolute idiot for not trading him at the deadline. That assumes some other team made an offer for him. His too high salary may have kept all teams away........another Reese special.

Exactly The kids get more playing time At least they show high effort while taking lumpsThey do? Baker is still a long shot to justify his value when he is giving full effort... I'll bet Ballantine and Beal never start another game for the Giants after this year. Do you seriously think that Beal & Ballantine never start another game. I think that’s a bit, out there thinking.

Gettleman is an absolute idiot for not trading him at the deadline. Not to single you out here, but why has this become such a common complaint among fans in recent years? Why is it assumed every player can be traded for something of relative value? Why is it assumed every player worth trading has a suitor? It does not work this way. This reminds me of folks who get upset when we "overpay" for free agents. According to them, every free agent should be signed to a "team friendly" deal, otherwise it's a bad signing. Again, I don't want to single you out at all, but both of these complaints have become very common in recent years and I don't understand why. Now, for the sake of discussion, let's say we did trade him. What's the most you think we could've gotten for him? I'm thinking a 5th at best.

so you are complaining about fan "crying" before it even happens. sounds like you're already "butthurt" Really? You got that from my comment? It's just a matter of days, probably hrs before a contender snags him up & he'll be playing in Jan. I'm happy for the guy, hope he does get to play in the postseason. He'll be paying alongside other vets & not a bunch of rookies or 1st yr players that still can't comprehend the playbook, some must be "slow". yeah....and who is arguing that point?

Motivate him? I hope it motivates management to fire him and the rest of the coaches. I would actually think its a real possibility that the Giants don't win another game this year especially now that they lost Jenkins... Most of us didn't expect a good year but 2-14 or 3-13? This is a train wreck and someone needs to take responsibility.... You know if you really think about it, this year could not have gone better when considering the Giant’s long term plans. Had they won 6 games, they would miss the playoffs and a high ranked draft stud. The Giants are in rebuild, and getting a high draft slot would be great as I think they do have a lot of young talent, and with their huge cap surplus, they can add veterans where necessary or begin re-signing those current players they want to stay. Losing the next 2 would ice the second draft choice and possibly the first one. Any team not making the playoffs would love that situation. I am so tired of losing games and sucking now for a few seasons, just so I can go yipee we get a high draft prospect next season. I just need to see some wins otherwise what is purpose of watching the Giants lose week in and week out. The only reason to watch now is to see Eli finish out his career.

It's actually proper English. The dictionary says "retard = a person effected by mental retardation". Now I'm not sure if the fan was in fact a retard.
I'd like to point out how classy this board is though. I used the same word a few months back and I only received a warning, Jenkins lost his ****ing job and millions of dollars lol. Once you start talking around here the door isn't far behind.

As morehead said we all used many of the terms that are unacceptable today. Fact is fare or not athletes are held to a higher standard, and owners are held to an even higher standard. The Giants do a lot of work in the community with special needs folks they are brought in for visits with the team and invited on the field from time to time after or before games. like it or not there isn't even question this need to be done.

I don't really think it was because of that, but rather an excuse. he wasnt going to be retained anyway and had mouthed off about coaches before. I have no way of knowing one way or the other. But this is crazy to even use it as an excuse. I guess all the work done with special needs people on behalf of the organization means nothing. Lets just forget it happened it's not right just like racial slurs or homophobic slurs . please don't use this to get all riled up the guy had spoken out of turn more then he should, has quit on the field on more then one occasion it all adds up. At least sound sincere when you apologize.
