That video meant nothing to be honest. Looked like he just wanted the camera to go away.
Worst case we get Andrew Thomas. I could live with that.

Saw this as well. Personally I don’t think it’s a big deal. Team has so many holes it may be a blessing in disguise. Trade back, get the best OT a load up on other spots. O line needs the most work. I think a new d coordinator will be just as good as having one standout player.

He’s not staying in college.
Just deflecting to avoid draft talk before his season is over

1. He’s definitely declaring for the draft
2. I’m still not sold as he’s the most valuable piece for us. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a beast but our OL, despite all the moves by Gettleman and chatter by fans, is still dismal. Taking Thomas might very well be the better move anyway.

If Young stays in college....
Plan A) Trade back. After the typical off-season hype, there will be a handful to teams wanting to trade up for Herbert, Fromm, Tua, etc.
Plan B) Draft Andrew Thomas

I think there is a zero percent chance Chase Young stays in college. He is projected to go #1 or #2. Why would he stay?

Focusing on the playoffs. He gets it. He’s going pro. No need to discuss it now.$$$$$ Talks, he can’t risk it.

That meant absolutely nothing. TMZ, and "news outlets" similar to them, drive me bonkers. To me, if someone from TMZ has the right to annoy and completely disrupt my day, making myself and those I'm with uncomfortable, then I should have a right to punch them in the face and break their camera. If they dodge my punches, and ultimately save their camera, so be it. It should be our right to swing on them, though.

This brings up a better question I will leave it to you guys. Is it better to trade down or just draft him or Thomas. For me I feel like I did in 2018 but I would be happy with Darnold or Mayfield who ever was there or Barkely or trade down, I feel the same way now with Thomas or Young or trade down.

At this juncture, those would be my three viable options as well. A lot can change between now and the draft of course.

Trading down is a nice, albeit risky, option. I’m in the camp of “this team sucks, it’s still in complete rebuild mode” so the more high level draft equity we can obtain, the better. However it takes two to tango in a draft day trade.

No way Young returns to school for his senior year. He’s going to be the 1st overall or 2nd pick in this draft. Risking future injuries to showcase his abilities for another year is silly. He has done everything he can possibly do on the football field.
If Young is available at our spot you take him. You don’t overthink in situations like this. We are desperately in need for an edge rusher, so why not pick the best in the draft?

Here’s a scenario.
Bengals take Chase Young.
Whoever our GM is has a “HOF” grade on Burrow.
Do we take Burrow and shop Jones?
Or do we shop the pick to Burrow lovers and load up on picks even though we think he’s better than Jones?

Or do we shop the pick to Burrow lovers and load up on picks even though we think he’s better than Jones? The only way you take a QB back to back years is you are certain that the next QB is a can’t miss. A Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck. A sure fire franchise great QB coming out of the draft. And even doing that would still be met with questions. The Cardinals coaching staff must of told the owner that Rosen was not the answer and that Murray was going to fit perfectly into their system and flourish in it. An owner has to ok this for it to even happen. The Giants for better or worse are going with Jones. He will have to fall flat on his face constantly for the Giants to say to themselves “we have the wrong guy.” Right now the jury is still out on Jones, saying anything for certain after 10 games is ridiculous. If I’m Gettleman and thank God I’m not. I go hard and heavy after Young. Right now we should have a great chance of selecting him, he should be our choice in the 1st round. Some fans want the tackle from Georgia, which is fine. But I’ve seen enough that a game changer at the edge rusher position has more of an impact overall on a team than a offensive lineman.

Chase Young is my first Choice of course...BUT it is some good players in this coming draft
We can use Andrew Thomas just as much if not MORE than Chase Young as well as trading back and getting a Playmaker at Linebacker like Isaiah Simmons or Kenneth Murray or Grant Delpit at Free Safety we have so many needs
Hopefully that is just Chase Young keeping himself focused on the NCAA Playoffs for now

The Giants should be able to get a king’s ransom. If not, then draft the best player available who is not a QB or RB.

Andrew Thomas Welcome to the Giants. This has turned into a Gettlemen thread lol. Mods can we make a Gettlemen main thread kind of like the Eli thread.

Whenever I've heard any legitimate analyst get asked about the question about Young over Thomas, the words "Chase Young" come out before the question is even finished being asked.
