Tuck and Osi are pushing for the Giants to bring him in as part of the defensive staff. This guy fits the bill to be a future DC Spags loved him calling him coach on the field. I can get in line on this one.

I would love Pierce to be involved with the defensive staff. Osi and Tuck can come too and help these youngsters.

Think they are gonna be drafting a LB or 2 depending on how they feel about connelly just have a feeling Pierce could help a ton . Don't know how much of a chance this has to happen but it's nice to dream bringing back a piece of recent Giants super bowl history.

I would be totally support Pierce as LB coach and Peppers for DL coach. Both were hard core, big heart, intense players for the Giants and it would be great to see them on the sidelines coaching up the next wave of Giants players.

I liked Pierce as a player until the end, but I don't know how anyone could know whether or not he would be a good coach.

Dude was all over the field in 05. He got slow real quick during the 09 season. I wouldn't mind the giants giving him a shot.

I remember when the poached him from the Skins he was starting there and was an undrafted guy they let him hit free agency and the Giants scooped him up quick. Play recognition was what set him apart great guy heady player .

He talked openly around the Super Bowl time about being overlooked as a high draft pick. Its amazing how many of these guys BURN to be great. Much scouting effort should go into finding these sleeper players.

Chase Blackburn has an education background(teacher type coach?) and may be available now with the regime change in Carolina(unless Rivera brought him to Washington). There's another over achiever.

Good point. Remember how our defense changed over night when he came back in ‘11? Now he would be an interesting choice, always liked Blackburn.

Without Pierce we don't win that first SB, we don't even make it there. I just remember him getting double teamed and a RB about to blow by for a 1st down and him breaking the double team and making a fingertip 1 hand tackle to end the drive.
I got no clue if he would be a good coach or not but if Judge likes him then bring him in. I think at the very least giving him an interview would be a good idea.

He read the play perfectly, split the double team and made a great tackle. Green Bay called the right play for that defense and Pierce made a phenomenal play.

My favorite Pierce moment was a penalty he committed.
He saw the defense was lined up in a poor defense vs the offensive personnel and literally walked to the LOS and lightly pushed an offensive linemen to take the offsides penalty so they can switch out personnel and not give up a huge gain.
It was that play right there that really drive home what kind of smart player he was.

He saved a TD when he split that double on that screen in the championship game.

It was that play right there that really drive home what kind of smart player he was. I remember another game. The Giants defense lines up. As the QB comes under center, AP taps his helmet and 3-4 guys start moving around. The QB is confused and takes a delay of game penalty. Every defense needs someone on the field who is in charge, and that certainly was AP.
