If we're passing Jeudy at #4, it makes entirely no sense to go for Amari. Jeudy's touted as the best route runner to possibly ever come out of college--better than Amari when he was coming out of Alabama and that was on of his strengths. Jeudy would also be on the 5-yr rookie deal. Not necessarily. We have a ton of cap room and by going the FA route for WR, we take that need off the board. Plus, being such a deep WR class, it gives teams a little leverage in negotiating with FA WR's.

The Cowboys are in cap hell now. They just signed EE and DL with big contracts and still have yet to sign Dak. Cooper is going to demand a big contract. I don't see how they can afford it. If Garrett does get the OC, should we consider bringing on Cooper? Probably 19 mil. I keep hearing that, but Im not seeing it... Im hearing the giants have 80 mill, so not sure how correct that is?

we definitly need a number 1 type reciever. I'd rather get one in a deep draft this year. I mean I wouldn't be mad if they made a play for him.
Fact is we can't bet on sheppard, we'll probably be losing engram at some point during the season, tate is old, Slayton is awesome. WR is a need esp a legit number 1. You want Daniel to shine, get a LT, get him a legit weapon on the outside, with barkly it'll make his life so much easier.
We got holes all over the roster though, sooooooo...

Within our 1st 3 picks That guy we had in there was oblivious to blocking schemas. He is the main reason our 2 OGs struggled. It is because the center was so unpredictable on who he was going to block . It left the both Guards in a state of guessing on who their assignments were.

Their cap space won't last long with all the good free agents they would like to have back. Dak, Cooper, Quin, Byron Jones, Cobb, Sean Lee, Joe Looney, etc We on the other hand only have a couple good free agents we have to worry about loosing.....that's one advantage of sucking....thanks DG.

Na...we can get a decent WR in the draft. Plus, if they use Engram differently. Use him as a deep threat and get a more traditional TE...that could minimize the urgent need for another WR this year. I like this idea, but we'll have to invent a way to keep EE healthy, cause he invents ways of getting hurt. Hurts an ankle on a missed block, this has to be some sort of a feat. It's a classic.
And you know I really like this guy and root for him to succeed cause I do think there in an untapped potential here that could explode. I thought he was going to have a super year as our 2nd receiver when OBJ was here. And when we drafted Barkley I was thinking the KC offense. So much for potential. Oh that word "potential".

We can get an Amari clone on day 2 for nothing.
We have EE on a rookie deal, Kaden Smith a UFA, and Ellison. I’m not keen on spending 20 million in cap AND creating a position of need in the draft that isn’t historically deep at that position. Not likely.

Eli is no longer on a contract? It expired after the 2019 season. So there should not be anything to come off the books nor will he need to be cut as he will be a FA to my knowledge I just checked, you are correct, Eli is off the books. I thought he had one more year. Thanks for pointing out the correction. no big deal. So the 60m wont balloon as high as you thought but still will go up some

I don't get signing a guy like this when really good recievers are now coming out regularly and producing at a really high level as rookies the past few years..
