positive bold prediction....The DBs and WRs actually are not an issue and the Gmen win 9+ games.

My bold prediction this year is Giants finish with a 12-4 record and trip to Super Bowl. Why not. This is exactly what happened to the San Francisco 49ers going 4-12 in 2018 and then 13-3 in 2019 and 1 quarter away from winning a Super Bowl. . The Niners blew a 10 point lead and KC out scored them 21-0 in the 4th quarter.

-Dimes throws more more TDs and more INTS than last year
-Dexter Lawrence banks 6 sacks as a DT
-Defense is still bottom 5 in the league
-Evan Engram is a 1000 yard receiver
-They upset a really good team
-Finish 5-11

I'll say Evan Engram leads the Giants in receiving yards, surpassing 1,000 yards. Saquon goes over 2,000 all purpose yards. No Giant has over 10 sacks. Julian Love leads the team in interceptions. While I love the enthusiasm, that 49ers team was loaded. Half of their losses, including to us, they were right in there to the end. Losing your QB early will do that to you. But if it happens for us, hell yeah.

a few 1.the defense as a whole comes together by December and is playing like a legit good unit with ,as they say on the Billbord Charts..a heatseaker bullet twards 2021
Some defense predictions 1.D line as a unit plays well all season and by December its the best in the league, And both Williams and Tomlinson get extended 2.Carter and X man combine for 20 sacks while Golden chips in for a few in a reduced role because of the above 2 3.Tae Crowder becomes the playmaker we have wanted at MLB since Pierce 4.We will get a glimpse of Love/McKinney and Peppers as a nightmare for offenses to desipher and figure out once McKinney gets back. 5.Holmes is the real deal
Mind you I'm saying this also knowing this defense is going to look like an absolute train wreck early again for the first 6 weeks before it stablizes...hell I unfortunately see a few 40 burgers put on us while we figure it out.
Offense *disclaimer * the o line will get much better but its also going to be the reason the offense as a whole struggles early because its only been together for 4 weeks as a unit...* 1.Jones becomes a top 10 qb with a bullet,I can't predict numbers because the first few weeks will not be indicative of his actual play....but 4K ish yards,65% comp 28 TDs 14 ints, fumbles come way down once the o lins gells after a bunch of "oh no" moments.
2.Peart takes over for Flemming sometime this season and by the end of the season this again is a legit strength of the team with an internal replacement for Zeitler with Lemieux
3. Slayton becomes a perennial 75 catch 1100 yard reciever, testing my willpower to never want to resign recievers to big money deals in 2 years
My biggie Engram stays healthy, his blocking has indeed improved to being "good enough " inline while dominant in space and Kaden Smith takes the next step.... I have my dream of recreating a modern version of Bavaro and Mowatt from 86.. And this out of necessity unfortunately because Tate/Shepard have injury issues,Coleman is his usual foolsgold and nobody else steps up
So our TEs combine for 150 catches and about 1700 yards..
With all that said I still see a 6-10 record only because of yet another massive hole record wise the team has to dig out from because of early season issues not related to talent or coaching
And I'll even peek into the future for the 2021 offseason
Zeitler,Tate,Solder cut, unfortunately I think Shepard might be a casualty. In addition to the 2 DTs we extended Engram,Hernandez and Peppers and Barkley (we have 125 million or so in 2022 in space, that is a lot of room to use for year 2 fully guaranteed $$ so there isn't a massive cloud of dead money over us)
The needs going into that offseason will be corner and WR,and with a flooded corner market the team could go spray and pray witb a bunch of 1 year prove it deals,or just say screw it and sign the top guy (seeing as that we probably will be in a win now window if what happens happens this is indeed the time to strike),leaving us at pick 8-12 to go WR (half of me would want to not wait around and tap into a legit beast at WR and finish the offense once and for all,but its also a very deep clase and we could have a top end steakhous caliber type player like Micah Parsons sitting there)
Yes I wrote all this after taking my pre workout.....

Then I suggest you don't watch the first quarter to 3rd of the season because its not going to be pretty With that said the overall defense to me has a classic New England vibe to it,the linebackers/edge guys being a bunch of try hard high effort fundamentally sound football players playing behind a dominant D line The back end will take longer to gell...very bullish on tbe direction of the defense

Slayton leads the team with 1000+ receiving yards
Crowder and Downs become Legit linebackers
Williams gets 8+ Sacks
Jones becomes a top 10 QB

BUT...I believe my worst fear is ahead and it doesn’t involve SB as MVP. As a matter of fact, just the opposite. I believe we have the best RB in the league but I am afraid for his health. I don’t even want to put it on here for fear of it coming true. Just the way things have been panning out for us in the past few years and it’s going to be up to Judge to figure out a way to bail us out.

In NY the Giants spend all of the 2020 season constantly interchanging young personnel at ILB struggling to find a competent combination to no avail. Meanwhile in Minnesota Ryan Connolly wins the starting ILB job by week 2 and leads the NFL in tackles, forced fumbles and defended passes securing his first Defensive Player of the Year award. 😉

Who only had a few games under his belt to begin with. I was digging on Connolly too but lets keep this in perspective.

Giants have a top 15 defense I think you’re right. I think that they’re going to fly around. I think their LBs are going to be given a lot of leeway to attack. I think the areas in front of the back seven are going to shrink as opposed to last year‘s approach. And I think they will find ways to put more pressure on opposing QBs. I’m looking forward to seeing an aggressive, physical D as opposed to that read and react stuff we’ve been force fed the last bunch of seasons. I hope they play really aggressively vs the Steelers and take it to them. Ben is rusty. I hope they hit him early and often.

Bold predictions? Certainly if your a Giants fan then you have been sentenced to an emotional roller coaster for life. Like a psychotic Bipolar Girlfriend, the Giants will somehow turn the corner this year after years of agony and frustration. As the season goes on nobody (media) will believe in the Gmen. The GMEN will march out this season with hopes of a revamped Oline and then bam it hits everyone in the face. The Oline will be deemed the most improved Oline in the NFL. The 2 young rookie OL bookends will prove themselves worthy and it begins from there. Saquan becomes a "Problem" again to the NFL and lights up the league in a near historic fashion accumulating nearly 2500 all purpose yards. Questions about not drafting a #1 WR become resolved after Darius Slayton takes the reigns and runs with it going for 10 TDs+ and 1000+ yards. And finally after the improved protection sets in, Daniel Jones goes juggernaut on the NFL defenses becoming a TD machine somewhat like a Manning , Peyton Manning that is. 40+ TDS, 4200+ yards and more come from behind magic like another Manning we all know. All of this while learning to manipulate the pocket and staying home while picking DBs apart with incredible accuracy. As for the Defense, the youngsters finally take a step forward with the new found veteran leadership. They somehow find an ability to tackle, rush the passer and cover a TE once in awhile. They find a way to become a middle of the pack defense. The team will finally somehow show an ability to make adjustments after the half and excel on Special Teams as well. Not bad for first year head coach Judge. End result .....Wildcard.

I hope they play really aggressively vs the Steelers and take it to them. Ben is rusty. I hope they hit him early and often. The New England approach to pass rushers is what we seemingly are trying to go for,and to have long term cap integrity its actually a really good model 1.Have a great front 3 and pay these guys,as 3 guys controlling 5 o linemen and winning tbis battle now makes it 8 on 6 football advantage defense. 2.have a bunch of guys that can get to the qb,make plays, ect all over tbe field Like I have suggested with WRs,keep finding smart players that fit the system and maybe pay one of these guys not top market money Like Amari Cooper castrating Dallas' cap how is Kahlil Mack's contract going with Chicago. Would it be nice to have a guy the offense has to fear,of course, but these guys don't grow on trees and often chasing these guys reaching often leads to disaster. Having 3 or 4 guys with 7-10 sacks and a bunch of pressures all over the team and a distruptivg front is very hard to gameplan against. The biggest issue witb opposing qbs vs New England is being confused, look what happened to Goff in the super bowl, and that right there slows the decision making down enough for pressure to affect a qb Once the defense is comfortable with its roles and can play on instincts its going to be one of the fastest looking defenses in the league and aggressive because they now will have the confidence to just go on instincts.
