I think you’re right. I think that they’re going to fly around. I think their LBs are going to be given a lot of leeway to attack. I think the areas in front of the back seven are going to shrink as opposed to last year‘s approach. And I think they will find ways to put more pressure on opposing QBs. I’m looking forward to seeing an aggressive, physical D as opposed to that read and react stuff we’ve been force fed the last bunch of seasons. I hope they play really aggressively vs the Steelers and take it to them. Ben is rusty. I hope they hit him early and often. The New England approach to pass rushers is what we seemingly are trying to go for,and to have long term cap integrity its actually a really good model 1.Have a great front 3 and pay these guys,as 3 guys controlling 5 o linemen and winning tbis battle now makes it 8 on 6 football advantage defense. 2.have a bunch of guys that can get to the qb,make plays, ect all over tbe field Like I have suggested with WRs,keep finding smart players that fit the system and maybe pay one of these guys not top market money Like Amari Cooper castrating Dallas' cap how is Kahlil Mack's contract going with Chicago. Would it be nice to have a guy the offense has to fear,of course, but these guys don't grow on trees and often chasing these guys reaching often leads to disaster. Having 3 or 4 guys with 7-10 sacks and a bunch of pressures all over the team and a distruptivg front is very hard to gameplan against. The biggest issue witb opposing qbs vs New England is being confused, look what happened to Goff in the super bowl, and that right there slows the decision making down enough for pressure to affect a qb Once the defense is comfortable with its roles and can play on instincts its going to be one of the fastest looking defenses in the league and aggressive because they now will have the confidence to just go on instincts. Amen.

In NY the Giants spend all of the 2020 season constantly interchanging young personnel at ILB struggling to find a competent combination to no avail. Meanwhile in Minnesota Ryan Connolly wins the starting ILB job by week 2 and leads the NFL in tackles, forced fumbles and defended passes securing his first Defensive Player of the Year award. 😉 pretty bold statement for 5th rounder off of an ACL..... Who only had a few games under his belt to begin with. I was digging on Connolly too but lets keep this in perspective. Is this not the bold predictions thread?

Because of the astounding play by Connelly . The Vikings FO see no reason to keep their All-Pro Middle Linebacker Eric Kendricks. He is subsequently Waived . The giants are 1st on the waver wire to claim him. The Giants now posses the best Inside Linebacker duo in the league.

You know what's funny is that the Giants and Vikings essentially swapped Downs and Connolly....in that both over the past year were waived and picked up by the other team.

my bold prediction is that we are a competitive team but we lose 5 heart breaking games in the last minute because our defense won't be able to rush the passer or cover a tight end in the 4th..

It wouldn’t be a Giant season without back breaking losses. Show me a fan who hasn’t been heart broken by a big Giants defeat, and I’ll show you a fan of not the Giants. They’re the grim reaper in blue, slowly killing us..

He was so bad that he made us forget the Ben McAdoo fiasco.

Because they definitely have their question marks and detractors, I will predict big seasons for both Engram and Jones. I am admittedly such a "homer"-I had no fear of Garrett as a HC-but now I think he will bring out the best in both both Engram and Jones. It is undeniable that Garrett gets a lot out of his QBs, and I think Jones will flourish with him. As for defense I really have a good feeling about Love and Holmes. I see them as long term solutions and I eagerly anticipate seeing how they use Mckinney and Peppers on the field at the same time. They both clearly love the game. As for our HC, I really like his demeanor-its not an act. I have longed for a HC that actually stated he wants players that "love the game of football".

Some seasons better than others, but always a player you have to account for. His play on the field didn’t take a nose dive like Eli’s did. And don’t be surprised the time off he had rehabbing and such, was good for his body.

I am psyched to see the Giants offense, coaches included, execute their game plan.

My bold prediction this year is Giants finish with a 12-4 record and trip to Super Bowl. Why not. This is exactly what happened to the San Francisco 49ers going 4-12 in 2018 and then 13-3 in 2019 and 1 quarter away from winning a Super Bowl. . The Niners blew a 10 point lead and KC out scored them 21-0 in the 4th quarter. 12-5 not 12-4
