So if Chase, Waddle and Smith are gone before our pick, who would you like/hate with our pick?
Like:
CB (definitely a need - don't know enough yet to distinguish between Farley and Surtain). Rashawn Slater - versatile OL and our OL was a problem yet again last year. Kyle Pitts - Don't generally like taking TE's this high, but this guy seems like a real weapon that could help DJ's development.
Hate:
Not sure that I know enough at this point to "hate" a potential pick at #11, but Rousseau makes be nervous. Also wouldn't be wild about Kwity Paye.

Pat Surtain II unless he isn't a sub 4.5 at the combine

If PS-II is still on the boards under this scenario, he would be very difficult to pass over.

I like Surtain, Parsons and Rousseau.
I don't like Paye.
Uncertain about Pitts, leaning toward like.

Surtain, Collins, trade down. I am not sold on Rousseau,
No D-line .Bad Draft class in the 1st 2rounds.

The idea of drafting Pitts is growing on me based upon the scouting reports I am hearing/seeing on him.
I resisted the idea at first, because we need a playmaking receiver and so I was focused on the WR position only. Starting to think that I was being too myopic since this guy would clearly be a playmaking receiving threat.
This guy is a true matchup nightmare (not like our current fake matchup nightmare). A 6'6" receiving threat who creates separation, has great hands and ball skills, and can line up at TE, in the slot, outside ... all over the field. Who is going to cover this guy on defense? Most LB's won't be able to cover him. He will have a huge size advantage over most CB's and safeties. He could be the security blanket to Jones that Plaxico was to Eli.
So I'm starting to think of him more as a much-needed offensive weapon than just a TE.

Don't know many college players and rely on others who have seen them until the combine arrives and these players are getting grades. Then I usually find highlights of players. I really just get to see players on real good teams from TV, that leaves a lot of players I've never watched.
Actually Pitts does sound like a heck of a weapon. Would not be upset if we drafted him. But I' would be leaning toward the CB position I believe. Surtain I think is our first choice just based on my personal viewing cause I have watched Bama maybe 4-5 times this season. But Farley is supposed to be right there as well. Lets see how the teams rate these guys. But as little as I know I think these 2 are right at the top.

I wouldn't have an issue if we went CB (unless DaVonta was on the board!)

we can't continue to draft CBs high in every draft, right now we need quality WRs and have for too long...

I like Pitts the most out of the prospects most likely to be available. I'd prefer Pitts over Waddle too. There is a chance Waddle turns into a Tyreek Hill type but looks like a boom or bust WR. I'd go with Smith, Chase, and then Pitts in that order as of now.
1 - Pitts 2 - Surtain - I've been hearing he lacks great speed and twitch but the same as been said about Bradberry and he's a Pro Bowler. 3 - Rosseau - Looks like a JPP type, versatile lineman, don't think that's what we need at the moment though.

Parsons is the elite pick on the defense...but don't be surprised if we take a 4th WR at 11 if the others are gone as our need for one could have us reach for a scouting favorite....
Believe there is gonna be four to six QB's taken in the 1st round...supply and demand gonna explode this year and gonna be lot's of moving and trading up.
What WR?
Let's see how some of the larger outs do at the combine....can see the Giants going WR in round 1...and 2.

If we are hell-bent on taking a receiving weapon at 11 even with those 3 gone, then I think that Pitts is a more likely pick than the 4th-ranked WR

Does not drop anything and runs superb routes...no problems taking him. Keep an eye out for Terrace Marshall Jr. at the combines...6'4 inch, 4.5 speed 5 star recruit from LSU...I believe he might be WR4 and "possibly" on the Giants radar.

They can add a WR later I have a gut feeling Pitts isn't gonna be there tho.

Pitts - I’ve watched a lot of him. He’s pretty close to can’t miss. I want Smith but he will probably be gone.
I’m a Michigan fan. I don’t want Paye - at all.

Pretty much decided that if the 3 recievers and Pitts is gone Break glass in case of emergency and grab the highest rated O lineman on the board Figure out where he plays the best....get the best 5 on the field Now with a lot of depth and possible future starters...

drafting Evan Engram in round one and seeing the results has turned me off on drafting TEs that high...but I could make an exception if we decided on Kyle Pitts who actually reminds me a little of Travis Kelce ...

Was it something in Parsons play, or the reports of off field problems that soured you on him?
