The more I am learning about these players the more interested I am in Pitts.

Just starting to do some research on these guys right now TBH because I didn't consider any 0f them a possibility till recently when I started seeing the 3 WRw and Pitts gone early, and I took Parsons off my board. Was it something in Parsons play, or the reports of off field problems that soured you on him? His off the field situation sounds damning

Pretty much decided that if the 3 recievers and Pitts is gone Break glass in case of emergency and grab the highest rated O lineman on the board Figure out where he plays the best....get the best 5 on the field Now with a lot of depth and possible future starters... How u got em ranked after The Samoan Tsunami Penei Sewell I could see the Giants really liking Slater’s versatility (and his 2019 tape against Chase Young).

Is he ths guy from Northwestern? Yes OK ,I forgot his name which is why I didn't mention him to kase but yeah If he is there at 11 and the WRs and Pitts is gone this would indeed be a really good "break glass in case of emergency " pick and not only be safe but get a guy that can probably be a day one starter somewhere on the line (or push guys ahead of him to be better and start even if he has to wait a year )

Very true, that is some Grade A footage right there, not many OTs can say they SHUT DOWN Chase Young nearly singlehandedly all game. I dont love the short arms and his strength is only average, but dude checks off every other box. He is a straight up technician and thats good because it makes up for his deficiencies. Personally Sewell is still my top OL, but apparently he's not EVERYONES top OL, hell Daniel Jeremiah has him ranked 2nd after Slater, and Lance Zierlein agrees. I actually just found this article from the draft network making a case for Slater as the top OL, but ultimately side with Sewell. I admit, it DOES sound nice to have 2 young bookend OT's for the long run, I guess it all depends on how it plays out with the first 10 picks. thedraftnetwork.com/articles/penei-sewell-rashawn-slater-ot1-2021-nfl-draft

Cowboys probably go BPA on defense.... Slater seems to project more as a guard with his arms ..... Of course Jerruh takes Waddle just to attempt to cock block Jones development and Slater becomes our Zach Martin and we go Eskridge/Coxie day 2 while the boys go 4 WR sets and who knows at QB,a disintegrating line and no defense ....

Was it something in Parsons play, or the reports of off field problems that soured you on him? His off the field situation sounds damning Whats your thoughts on JOK aka Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah now that Parsons has fallen out of favor. From what Ive read, and the tape ive seen, dude looks and sounds pretty damned good.... Kind of looks like Parsons except he's like 30lb lighter. He is excellent against the pass, he is lightning quick when it comes time to attack the run, he's is great at reading the line and getting into the backfield, his numbers are decent, in the 2 seasons he's played 2 he's registered 142 tackles, 24.5TFL, 7 sacks, 5 FF, and 7 passed defended. In other words, dude gets around on the field This is what draft network had to say Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah projects as an impact defender at the NFL level. There’s an undeniable level of explosion to his game that helps Owusu-Koramoah mask the limitations of his game on account of his stature. An ideal match from a team perspective would be one that wants to stay in their base defensive personnel at a higher than average rate, where Owusu-Koramoah’s versatility can shine brightly against spread sets. There’s plenty of experience playing as a pressure player up the middle and even as a pseudo-third safety who is walked outside the hashes and taking man-to-man reps against wide receivers from the slot. Owusu-Koramoah took a big step forward with his game in 2020 and was in several contests the best football player on the field—he moves at a different speed than his teammates and his instincts to find the football and make big plays is undeniable. The more you watch, the more you love. Just don’t ask him to play a traditional stack role or attempt to work him as the MIKE linebacker for sustained, optimal success.

The idea of drafting Pitts is growing on me based upon the scouting reports I am hearing/seeing on him. I resisted the idea at first, because we need a playmaking receiver and so I was focused on the WR position only. Starting to think that I was being too myopic since this guy would clearly be a playmaking receiving threat. This guy is a true matchup nightmare (not like our current fake matchup nightmare). A 6'6" receiving threat who creates separation, has great hands and ball skills, and can line up at TE, in the slot, outside ... all over the field. Who is going to cover this guy on defense? Most LB's won't be able to cover him. He will have a huge size advantage over most CB's and safeties. He could be the security blanket to Jones that Plaxico was to Eli. So I'm starting to think of him more as a much-needed offensive weapon than just a TE. is he like oj Howard?

I always liked Pitts, but I think I'm getting to the point where I'd be totally good with him as the pick.

I have a weird feeling he ends up in Detroit The HC was a TE He comes from the Saints style of a hybrid offense and where they have had success with a big bodied Slot WR ( that guy that was a 7th round pick from Hofstra who's name escapes me ) Pitts would be a bigger hybrid type mutant of this that can play all over but Excell in the slot as a hybrid H back/slot WR in a 12 Which is probably what Campbell wants to run
