Well as of today the Seahawks have added Adam Gase name to their list of OC candidates. They article didn't say say who contacted who. I can't believe with his record he still gets opportunities. When Peyton Manning gives a recommendation damn it, it carries weight. Even almost a decade later. Gase gets 2 OC jobs and a HC job after failing at all 3.
Oh Yea and this is a great idea putting Gase and Jamal Adams back together in the same locker room. I can't believe the stupidity of even considering his name.
Let me just show you Gase career since since 2013 when he inherited Peyton Manning as his QB in Denver. You need an all time great top 5 QB to make his offense work.
Offense -Points / Yards
Denver - Peyton Manning Teams 2013 - 1st / 1st 2014 - 2nd / 4th
Chicago 2015 - 23 / 21
Miami 2016 - 17 / 24 2017 - 28 / 25 2018 - 26 / 31
Jets 2019 - 31 / 32 2020 - 32 / 32
He has no personality or body of work to have players believe in him. He looks like a mess every time when he speaks at the mike representing the team. That stare into space at the Jets at the introduction is an all time classic.
This guy should be in college ball at the most and not a major college either.

It’s clear that Gase has provocative pictures of every coach/owner in the NFL. He was a disaster from the start with the Jets, his press conference when he was hired goes right up there with Ben McAdoo when his mother picked out his suit. A franchise like the Seahawks normally make smart decisions when it comes to their staff. Maybe Pete Carroll is becoming senile at his age. Luckily, for their fan base it’s only an interview. They don’t have to panic yet.
If his record isn’t enough to scare potential teams from hiring him, his track record with players post him will. All these players thrived once they were rid of Adam Gase.
Jarvis Landry, Damien Williams, Ryan Tannehill, DeVante Parker, Mike Gesicki, just to name a few. All these players miraculously played better once they got away from the human black hole. Let’s be grateful he’s not roaming our sidelines..

Gase's results look good his first 4 years but turned terrible after joining the Jets.
It looks like Darnold and the Jets organization destroyed his career - I remember when this guy was the "hot" coach...the "experts" loved the hire of Gase the "QB whisperer."

Blue the "QB whisperer" ? Hell I could be the Whisperer if it was Peytons ear. Peyton didn't like what was said he changed it at the LOS. It was Peyton Manning we'd all be thought of as football geniuses whispering to Peyton.
Blue he wasn't good in Chicago and he destroyed Miami. The Jets were already a joke he just made them a laughing stock even more.

I have to admit some of Gase's press conferences made me laugh like the "14 has mono." Jets fans hate the guy, they think he destroyed Darnold but I haven't followed Gase that closely. Maybe Pete Carroll feels sorry for him because Pete got barely made it 1 full season before getting fired by the Jets. The jets had Carroll and Belichick as coaches...pretty funny.

Personality is what counts for an OC? Personality might have been the wrong word but the conviction in his personality to follow him. Well you cited Miami and NY, where he wasn't the OC.
I know Peyton loves him. Maybe he's just one of those guys who's a good coordinator and a lousy HC.

In Miami and NY he was the HC. In Chicago and Denver he was the OC. Doesn't look like he was that good an OC in Chicago.
Peyton does love him where they were very successful together.
There are rumors that Saban would take him back on his staff. This time at Bama instead of LSU. Saban does rebuild careers for his assistants. Maybe at this point that would be his best option.
