I feel as though this fan base is looking at weapons and receiving needs and rightfully so. An upgrade is needed.
Assuming we more of less correct this flaw in FA. What then? Options at 11?
To me, I dont see an EDGE worth this pick. CB? thats another story.
I watched as much film as I could and ive come away with one player. Jaycee Horn. Son of Joe Horn. This kid is a much better overall CB than Surtain and a better fit for Grahams scheme. With him and Bradberry it will be very difficult to score on this team. I would suspect that as the process goes on Horn will start to be considered the best in this class.
OT Slater would be another great option.
Who would you be looking at as options outside of WR/TE? History suggests waiting at this position is the intelligent thing to do for need/value.

Anything except S, QB or RB is fine with me. I think at the top the depth of positions needs to be considered. OT and CB often thin out quick. I think its a great spot to take one and they're both amoung the most valuable assets on team rosters. But yeah, no need to consider those, unless Zach Wilson somehow falls |

I don't think we will fill our WR needs in free agency but I will play along with the thread and consider the fact the top 3 WRs might be gone.
Pitts TE
Parsons LB
Farley or Surtain CB
Azeez Ojulari EDGE
Greg Rousseau EDGE
I think those are all very good options at 11 and all fill a need to some degree.

Here it comes...… However this Micah Parsons is suppose to be the next Devin White and Devin Busch at ILB. That would give us Parsons and Martinez at ILB. 2 tackling machines that can also blitz. Fackrell can play inside or outside if we re sign him. I think Fackrell would welcome say a 2 year contract in this defense.
I believe this particular players talent over rides the so called positional value.

Remember Stafford and the Lions have agreed to part ways. |

I think if we have WR1 settled before the draft, it puts us in a very good place to address one of two areas of need, edge or CB. I'd be happy with either.

He will not be there, especially with the no combine and the Covid college year...he's a Quenton Nelson type talent that plays left tackle, thus why I know circumstances would never allow him to drop to 11.  He won the Outland Trophy as a sophomore ... insane. Positional value and his talent level being so advanced for his age suggests he will be the first non QB taken...plug and play pro bowl hand touched by a God LT All that said, he could allow one of the WR talents to get towards pick 11 and our needs, if we get early draft action for the talented group of QB's this year, which I believe. Waddle still my guy at 11  |

Parsons has some kind of harassment suit at Penn St, if teams find there is merit to that case I think he will plummet. It's really hard to say what our need will be, if we solve WR in FA it could very well mean Williams is gone. I think creating caproom to keep Williams and sign a top FA WR will be tough.
Depending on what happens:
If keep Williams/sign WR1 - Surtain or Payne
No WR signed - Pitts, Chase, Waddle, Bateman
I've said in another thread and I stick to it my ideal offseason centers around retaining Williams, adding Corey Davis in FA who I think ends up significatly cheaper than Robinson, Golladay, and Godwin then moving Engram in a trade for a late pick to free caproom for Tomlinson. Then you could go Kyle Pitts at 11 or if you have a huge grade on a defender go that route and take a more traditional TE as the draft moves along. That said I think Pitts, Barkley, Davis, Slayton, and Shepard along with Jones ability to take off could create a lot of problems for a D. We'd be able to attack every level and consistently get LBs in coverage on a playmaker.

If we feel good about a free agent WR addition I get even more intrigued by Pitts. We're in a weird spot on the WR front this year in the draft. There is a chance all 3 are gone.

The WRs on the roster will be Shepard, Slayton, Sills, Pettis and a Special Teamer. Tate will be gone. So they clearly need a frontend guy added to that mix. Shepard is one of the more underrated WRs in the league, he is not going anywhere. Jones #s targeting him are very good and he should be even more effective when we can run Barkley and hopefully add that next level WR to shade Safeties to the boundaries. |

I want NYG to find some additional WR diamonds later in the draft as well. It's not a one weapon fix. Teams are rolling out dangerous guys even if their starters get dinged. The best teams have 3 or 4 stretch the field types at the ready. Sure handed too.

So imo on offense 2 WR's main target. Next 1A target RT, also I feel TE in the draft ( no money in FA for a TE ). Possibly around 4th or 5th pick. Unless of course we go after Pitts with the #1 pick.
Defense First thing I'm right with everyone else I want Williams and Tomlinson re signed. A CB and an edge rusher top priorities to pursue. Perhaps another strong ILB but that's a 1A target.
Don't know if all this is possible but these are the goals I would pursue if I had any influence.

I don't know G, it would be nice to find a WR down in the draft but any position that you find a top or better than average player after the 4th rd is a gold find. We need to go out and get the best prospects with a top pick. In FA I believe we had the cap room but we'll see how that works out.
A lot of teams are coming looking for these WR's in FA. The WR position is going to create a lot of interest.

Honestly with the cap situation now a bit murky that probably knocks the team out of one of the top guys everone seems to want...
If I had my choice where to buy a top free agent (some work to get under the cap is kinda easy with how much space we have starting in 2022 and cuts )Id rather get someone on defense along with keeping the d line together...make that unit a dominant top 10 or better unit(tvey are not that far off..especially if we see big year 2 jumps with McKinney,Coughlin,Brown and Crowder)
If I were GM (if I were GM AJ Brown or McLaurin would be Giants so reciever would be an at leisure BPA pick this year ..I can't say Metcalf because I'm not going back on me not wanting him in 2019 and being wrong )......
A cheap vet WR like Watkins would be my guy if we needed a slightly bigger guy that can play the later stage Toomer role for us ....get one big defensive get.
Then go offensive playmakers and O line depth heavy this draft BPA

Patrick Surtain II or Jaycee Horn on the other side of Bradberry would be Amazing and a huge upgrade over Yiadom
Also need a Edge Rusher but doesn't seem like a good year for Edge Rushers
