Could have predicted that. They weren't letting him walk.

Could have predicted that. They weren't letting him walk. Not sure we would have been players in that lofty market anyway

I'm not sure it pays to sign the highest end free agent receivers anymore. There seems to be a plethora of really good kids coming out of college year after year. Invest the draft capital to keep the salary cap in line.

Invest the draft capital to keep the salary cap in line. I've been saying this for a few years Get your stable of dynamic playmakers established with young good qb Keep bringing in one every fee years and not sign any of them for big bucks I'd rather pay the big guys on both lines that you find ..

I don't like any of the big name FA WR's this year, but Robinson was my favorite. I think Robinson's a solid WR who consistently produced with poor QB play around him. He could've been a good target for DJ.
He isn't worth the price tag, though. None of the big named WR's are. The idea of overpaying players like Golladay, Schuster, Fuller, etc. makes no sense to me.
If we're going to spend big in FA, the focus should be on re-singing our DL. If we decide to only re-sign one of the two between Williams and Tomlinson, we should have enough cap space to sign a quality CB and Edge rusher. Maybe even a RT.
The draft is apparently stocked with WR and TE talent. If we solidify our defense in free agency, we can focus on offense early and often come draft day.....RD1 - Chase/Smith/Waddle/Pitts.....RD2 - Freiermuth/Marshall Jr./Toney/Stevenson......RD3 - Long/McKitty/Eskridge/St. Brown.
Defense in FA, offense in the draft. Seems like the smart move this year.

When they were down . The defense gave him space and that is where most of his production came from this season. ( Standard cover 2 to stop the big play instead of man coverage.) I am not sure he is a true #1. He can play against a zone. Man up on him. You can contain him. Just my opinion. I would not have known this if he was not on my team.

I don't really consider him a true #1 either. I think he's ultimately going to be overpaid and the production won't match.

Robinson is an overglorified possession reciever Half this fan base has such an extreme fetish for only wanting a big bodied guy that they fail to see he wouldn't force defenses to have to defend the entire field

We dont need to force one on us early in the draft, or in free agency.

And I'd rather try for a guy like Coxie who has actual good athleticism for a big guy But dare to say that at the wasteland known as BBV and you get called a sissy
