Surtain Waddle Smith Rousseau Any of the OL
I think they’re gunning for Smith. He has Giants written all over him (Alabama, Heisman). But they do have options after bringing in the FAs they did.
Guys I would “rather not”
Pitts Parsons

Guys I would “rather not” Pitts Parsons I'm not a Rousseau fan, unless we trade down pretty far. PS II is pretty much the only defensive player I think worthy of being picked at our slot or higher this year, and we now have a pretty solid backfield, so I'll be a bit surprised if we take him.

Guys I would “rather not” Pitts Parsons Yea te I have no idea I seem to change my mind every other day. I don't think were going any DB on the 1st rd. With the money we tied up in our starting CB's doubt if we go Surtain cause somebody would have to sit. I feel edge rusher, OL, and WR are the positions to watch in the 1st rd. After Judge watching 4 of the top pass rushers in person in 3 days Penn St - Parsons and Oweh, Mich - Paye, Miami - Rousseau and Phillips, I think pass rush is definitely in play. Today judge is at Bama pro day not Ohio St. Waddle and Smith didn't work out. Judge was at both Bama pro days. Loved it that him, Belechik, and Saben were all together the whole time. S.F. contingent Shanahan and Lynch watching Mack Jones. Apparently Shanahan doesn't go to a lot of pro days. Many talking heads on NFL network think it's Mack Brown the Niners moved down to #3 for.

Thank you Fletch, don't know what's the matter with me sometimes. I watched him all afternoon. They only mentioned his name a thousand times, like I didn't know it anyway.

But some DJ on the NFL channel says Shanahan loves him in his offense. We'll find out soon enough.

Guys I would “rather not” Pitts Parsons te listen to this, Yesterday I'm listening to these mock drafts on the NFL network and I'm not sure who said it but I was not thinking in this direction but the more I think about it I think it's very possible. Now I was thinking at #11 the best option to trade back to #15 with N.E, otherwise go defense (edge, best LBer) or OL. Possibly 1 of the 4 top receivers if there. But here comes the mock: Jax - Lawrence QB - This is a done deal Jets - Wilson QB - Beginning of the new era, here we go again 49ers - Mac Jones QB - More and more buzz about Shanahan loves Jones to run his offense Den (trade) - Lance QB - Elway finally finds a QB Cinci (the silent wild card) - Chase WR - Burrows behind the scenes push gets his LSU college WR, why not ? Get OL help in the 2nd rd they have 2 picks Mia - Smith WR - Same thing for Tua, Bama WR Det - Pitts TE - Becomes Goffs best friend at 6'6" with great hands and speed Car - Fields QB - With McCaffery in same backfield as dangerous as the Ravens Jackson and Dobbins and don't lose any draft choices staying still Atl (trade) - Harris RB, Parsons LB, Waddle WR, - it doesn't matter. They need defense with every other draft pick. Dal - Surtain CB - considered best defense player along with Parsons. They need a top CB desperately. edge to risky And yes the miracle falls in place : NYG - Penei Sewell OL - No trade back, run the ticket up there immediately. Start him at Guard for 1 year if we need him at OT move him there
Hows that for a gift.

Surtain, Waddle, Smith, Parsons are my choices at 11. I think Waddle, Smith completely change this offense and make us a top 10 offense; I think Parsons completely changes this defense and makes us a top 10 maybe top 5 unit. Those are the types of players I want at 11, game changers.
Penei Sewell is another guy, although not one that would make me super excited. Great player at a needed position for sure.

Hows that for a gift.A lot of pieces to get in place for that one...but value alone would suggest OT over a WR...would be shocked if he made it past the Bengals and certainly not the Cowboys...he's too high on too many boards. But like you, that an easy quick pick.

Any way this draft comes out, an edge rusher will not be the highest rated player available at 11.

Yeah, two years ago when we took Jones...that was the higher graded edge prospects and far deeper class year...would be a huge reach for a need this year. Crap, I don't even see any DT's with 1st round grades...we have some linebackers and a deep corner class again...love the safety from Oregon. Thus on defense, I'm not reaching, and that's fine as it's the O that needs help. Hit the strength of the draft in BPA, and that should lead us to OL and WR...for possibly the first 3 rounds, and for sure 2.

I'm no scout but I find it very hard to believe anyone has any of these pass rushers rated higher than Sewell, Slater, Chase, Waddle, Smith, Parsons and Surtain. One of them has to be on the board for us.
