"but no cigar "... I see " "as a guy smokin' a cigar. A little sensitive? I picked Smith because he is another weapon for DJ. Pure and simple. Sensitive? No. Just didn't understand the terminology. (See "What does that even mean?) I'm on my phone and it doesn't show the emoji. It just says " " Understood.

Parsons would be great, but no cigar!
We need to solidify DJ. We need to give him the highest probability of success THIS season. Oline or WR in the first. If WR then Oline in the second. Then maybe go pass rusher in the 3rd if there is someone who can compete this year.
Our defense does not need Parsons to get us into the playoffs this year. Our offense needs the best DJ can give us to go 11 - 6. No contest IMO.
I appreciate that everyone here is an expert on what we NEED, but " "? What does that even mean? It's been a cliche as long as I can remember but, there is a reason for it. "Great defenses win championships." I don't think Parsons will be there at 11, but having him on this defense would make us feared. When was the last time anyone feared a Giants defense? We can still get a good WR later in the draft. That is a fact that is proven every year. Slater will also not be there at 11. After him, no other OL is worth going that high. There will be a playmaker at 11 that other teams will covet. We can trade down and still get a very versatile pass rusher in Paye. 9 of the last 11 super bowls were won by teams with both top 10 offense and a top 10 defense... It's not 1990 anymore where a great defense can carry a team and the offense's job is just don't mess up and score one more point than the other team We arguably have a top 10 defense Our offense still needs help on the line And at WR...

If you look at the advanced stats he only missed 5 tackles out of 59. Pretty good percentage. I don't know what you see or if you watch Cardinals games. Maybe you saw a highlight of him getting burned and made assumptions. I know he played better toward the end of the season than he did in the beginning. Sacks, ints, pass defensed, hurries, tfls, knockdown, tackles, pressures. The kid can do it all and he is just beginning. I guess since you doubled down he is not a good player you only see the bad things. We got just as good value with Crowder at Mr Irrelevant with the same upside Would you still take Simmons over Thomas in a retract? I sure as hell wouldn't I think you a slowly backing away from your original comment where you said Simmons was useless. I proved he wasn't in the 7 games he played. I am not going to get into who's better between him Thomas and Crowder as they are rookies. They all have their roles and still learning their roles.

Not really He is positionless ,has bad fundamental flaws and below average football instincts that he was able to cover at Clemson but already has been taken advantage of... He also can't shed blockers once engaged

to me, if all 3 WR's, Pitts, Sewell and Slater are all off the boards, you can make a case for a number of defensive players, Paye included, although AVT and Darrisaw should still be in serious consideration. But also there will be very good Guards in the 2nd rd when we pick. That Wyatt Davis from Ohio St. is a beast, Also that T. Smith I think Tenn., Dickerson Bama, There are others as well. We could benefit going defense if we drop back with an extra 2nd rd pick. And nobody knows when this Parsons is going to be picked. Some have him in top 10 and others have him dropping. But he will be a Devin Busch or Devin White type player.

If anyone wants a spreadsheet of the BBI rankings by SY here it is. The user Robbieballs on BBI created it. I use the Rows tab during my mock drafts.

No love for Bateman?? I dont get how he is getting so severely overlooked this draft I keep forgetting about him as well EVERYBODY does, I'm HOPING this will cause him to fall to the 2nd where we can snatch him. Hell if we went any combo of AVT/Jenkins/Bateman/Collins/Tryon in the 1st and 2nd I'd be OK with it in addition to my top tier (Pitts, Sewell, Smith, Chase, Waddle, Slater) who might ALL be gone by 11

AVT if everyone else is gone should be the pick if they are looking for interior help he is gonna be good for a long time.
