Good stuff. 2 words. Kwitty Paye. 1 word Puke Parsons is my #1, but I don't think he'll be there at 11. Paye didn't just play edge. He played all over the line. Your complete disdain of him is puzzling. Almost biased.

Because he disappeared for very long stretches of games No production that merits a pick at 11 I don't want a lab experiment at 11(remember Simmons last year people were getting bones over..I correctly predicted he would be useless for this reason and was out performed by our own Mr Irrelevant Crowder) Any edge rusher over Slater/Smith or Waddle would be a horrific reach And this year has to be about Jones...ya know..the guy we both wanted.... We didn't do enough yet, need a good RG..still need a modern Tyreek Hill type to eventually take over for Slayton... And I'm not the only one so strongly against Ask TCHOF,Bavarobeast...both watch all of Michigan's game and they say the same thing

And, FTR, I have repeatedly said TO YOU that I would trade back to get Paye, not at 11. I don't understand why you keep ignoring that point just to argue with me about it. Paye is going to be a great defensive player under a great DC and fits our scheme because he can play inside as well. Parsons I would take at 11. The guy is an absolute beast. We've been missing that kind of LB for a long time.

We need to solidify DJ. We need to give him the highest probability of success THIS season. Oline or WR in the first. If WR then Oline in the second. Then maybe go pass rusher in the 3rd if there is someone who can compete this year.
Our defense does not need Parsons to get us into the playoffs this year. Our offense needs the best DJ can give us to go 11 - 6. No contest IMO.

to me, if all 3 WR's, Pitts, Sewell and Slater are all off the boards, you can make a case for a number of defensive players, Paye included, although AVT and Darrisaw should still be in serious consideration.

We can still get a good WR later in the draft. That is a fact that is proven every year. Slater will also not be there at 11. After him, no other OL is worth going that high. There will be a playmaker at 11 that other teams will covet. We can trade down and still get a very versatile pass rusher in Paye.

I'd rather reach for AVT I don't necessarily disagree with you, but understand the other perspective. Personally, if all the offensive guys I really like are off, I'd prefer a trade down, as Fbomb said with a team like Chicago or New England.

In perfect world I agree Then a Zevon Collins (who is actually one guy on defense I would "reach for " if we can't trade ),AVT or Toney or someone would be available...or Collins But what happens if we can't

Which will most likely be Waddle or Smith (as I'm rapidly losing faith either of the big 2 O linemen fall to us ) Unless they just say eff it and get Surtaim or Horn (not ideal but still more desirable than any edge rusher )

Which is why I think we'll be able to trade back for. If we didn't sign Galloway and Rudolph then I would be on board for a WR over all. Now, with the exception of Parsons, trading back is the bigger value. Paye in the mid teens and more picks for OL and WR later in the draft.

There are about 15 edge rushers I would rather take day 2 than Paye in the 1st... I'd rather take Zevon Collins at 11 then Paye in the first even with a trade back (where I would also have Collins at the top of my list ) Collins is a better more athletic version of Kyle Van Noy.... in our system he is a perfect fit for this defense probably as much as Parsons (who is probably off our board and not on mine unfortunately)

How he disappears from games and what not. Read the Jets forums and they celebrated when they got rid of him. Now their trash is our 20+ million treasure. Seems like Judge is in love with him. Read a report that the Giants are high on Paye.

Many saw Williams as the best player in the 2015 draft as he was highly productive in college, unlike Paye He went to the pro bowl in 2016 He fell off because Greg Williams defense was a bad fit for him but he was doing his job for the Jets until then... Bad false equivalency... If anything he compares to Tuck We took Tuck in the 3rd In any other draft with actual good pass rushers Paye would at best be a 2nd round prospect

Lol No he didn't This doesn't show all the missed tackles, wrong gaps, bad angles he took I'll take Crowder over him And I much prefer the guy we took at 4 over him If you look at the advanced stats he only missed 5 tackles out of 59. Pretty good percentage. I don't know what you see or if you watch Cardinals games. Maybe you saw a highlight of him getting burned and made assumptions. I know he played better toward the end of the season than he did in the beginning. Sacks, ints, pass defensed, hurries, tfls, knockdown, tackles, pressures. The kid can do it all and he is just beginning. I guess since you doubled down he is not a good player you only see the bad things.
