“One of the teams I’m told is a realistic possibility to trade up is the Chicago Bears, who want to trade up to get a QB,” Pauline said during a recent episode of his podcast. Pauline specifically points to the Cowboys at No. 10 as a potential trade partner, which would take Chicago out of the running for (presumably) Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, and at least one of Justin Fields, Mac Jones, and Trey Lance. The Bears are currently armed with the No. 20 pick in the first round, along with a second- and third-round pick. While the Bears may be set atop their depth chart with Dalton and Nick Foles, there have been continued whispers that they could look to the draft (including the first round) for another quarterback. Head coach Matt Nagy even seemed to acknowledge that the organization has been eyeing a handful of rookies QBs during a recent meeting with reporters. “As everybody knows, we’ve been to a few pro days with some of these quarterbacks and it definitely helps, but there is only so many of those you can do and see. What’s fair is every other team is doing the same thing. Ryan and I are super excited about going through that evaluation process together and how we do it. It’s a challenge, but we look forward to it. There are a lot of good quarterbacks in this draft class.” www.profootballrumors.com/2021/04/bears-looking-to-move-up-in-draft-for-quarterbackI would take them to the bank in draft capital to move back to 20. Cowboys aren't going QB so they could fall to 11 as well. Im talking their 1st 2nd 4th this year, and 1st 3rd 5th next year.

No chance you get that for a move from 20 to 11 I agree Swap 1st round picks. This years 3rd and their first 2-6th round picks. With a conditional 2nd next year.( must be within the first 50 picks or you get their 3rd round pick also.) For some context ... the Steelers moved up from 20th to 10th in 2019 to draft Devin Bush. The Steelers gave up the number 20 pick, a second rounder (no. 52) and a 2020 third-rounder. I know a team trading up for a QB would likely be willing to give up more in compensation, but not the type of compensation that some of you guys are thinking ....

Too risky. At least if we trade back, we can break up the value of that one pick to a couple of players if Parsons is a bust due to personality / off field stuff. His talent is very high though.

Honestly If another team is involved 2021 2nd and 4th and a 2022 3rd that could be a 2nd depending on what the QB does from the Bears could work I know the Chiefs gave up their 2017 2nd and 2018 1st to move up for Mahomes

they would have to be desperate or stupid to make that trade with us, so there's a chance!! They have done it before HaHa, 2 out of the 3 QB's are having HOF career so far (Mahomes and Watson) Tribisky a complete flop. Crash and Burn. What they gave up to pick #2 and then miss. You know they supposedly offered a kings ransom for Wilson. So why wouldn't they make a big offer to move up for a QB ? Desperate more than stupid I feel. But were not in the right position I think they would offer #8 Carolina in front of Denver, or #14 the Vikes in front of N.E. If they don't move into the top 10 we could make them an offer but I don't think it falls right for us.

The key is you can’t call them. Have to wait until draft day and the time of the pick so that they call up in a panic. You want them to overbid.

Yea to trade back there are probably 3 teams that are possibly likely to trade down for a QB. N.E., Wash., and Chi. They all have journeyman QB's in place.
Apparently next years draft doesn't look strong for QB' from what I've read and heard from the talking heads on TV. So these teams might be willing to move this year. Odds are were not dealing with Wash. And either is Dallas and Philly. So that's #10, #11, #12. So Wash would need to deal with Atlanta or Detroit. I would think.
Denver at #9 could be going QB as well so they might not trade back. In fact they could move with Atlanta which could have Atlanta land in the catbird seat at #9 and get even more picks. Very hypothetical on my part. Carolina believes their team needs a LT and a CB to compete deep into the NFC playoffs. Heard Rhule talk on TV. So at #8 they could have their choice of the best player at either position. Doubt if their trading back. Which brings us to #7 Detroit do they take Pitts, Chase, or Parsons. Or a windfall of high Draft picks ? Same with Atlanta at #4 as already said.
Atlanta and Detroit seem to be in the catbird seats. They seem to be the lynch pins that put us on the sideline of trading back or they put us in play of a trade. There could still be that 5th QB available at #11 and 3 teams that would want him.
If N.E. moving down 4 spots I want 2- 2nd rd picks and a 3rd (the 3rd could be this year or next). Chi. moving down 9 spots I want 2- 1st rd a 2nd this year and a 3rd next year. I could let them talk me down on the 3rd next year to a 4th this year.
So much for my 2 cents.
