How many picks does it take to build the o-line? As many as it takes.

I feel our receiving corp is better than our OL. So lets strengthen the OL. We still have 5 more picks to add to the receiving corp.

Sewell would be my #1 choice in this draft for us, followed closely by Chase. Pitts would be my 3rd choice, and first one that I think has any sort of prayer of falling to us. Smith would also make me smile, the difference in preference for me on any of these guys is pretty slim.

The reason why I like Smith so much is that he is a legit threat and teams have to account for him. Thus leaving the field open to SQB, (Doc) Golliday, Rudolph etc..However no matter scenario plays out DJ has to perform up to standards. If he continues to regress nothing we do in this area will help

How many picks does it take to build the o-line? As many as it takes. right now I'm wondering how many years does it take to build an O line, seems we've been trying to do that for too long now and it still is unfinished..

What's nice about this year's draft is we can say the same thing for both positions. WR and OL, particularly IOL, which is our biggest need at the moment, are both deep.

I think with adequate protection, which I expect from our OL as it stands, Smith opens things up for everyone else. He's going to be a nightmare for defenses to cover, especially if he's going against the opposing CB2. From the little I've watched, I prefer Slater to Sewell. He looks smoother, more natural, and I believe provides more versatility (could be wrong?). While I'd be ecstatic to draft either, I think a bonafide WR1 to line up across from KG and to keep defenses honest for Barkley would be huge for this team.

This seems to have become a trend across football as a whole over the last 5+ years, or so. Football is emphasizing less hitting at a much younger age, and kids aren't being taught the proper technique to be an OL in the NFL. Everything below the NFL is spread, and an extension of the 7v7 these kids grew up with. Finding an OL ready on Day1 has become harder and harder. In my opinion, GM's should consistently draft OL with mid-late round picks to keep the cupboard stocked.

How many picks does it take to build the o-line? As many as it takes. as long as they aren’t reaching and leaving blue chip talent on the board. That’s losing football.

Ok I'll give you facts..
11 TDs, 10 Int 18 Fumbles (led the NFL) so a total of 28 turnovers in 14 games, missed many many wide open receivers, holds on to the ball for too long...Thats the definition of suck. You cannot be in the NFL with those stats...So he had an improved 2nd half, so what? That meant he went from terrible to merely crap. If you don't think I'm right read Giants game day threads last few games

Your logic sucks. You're a DJ hater if you don't see there are reasons for his poor performance earlier. He has improved lately and I expect vast improvements this season. To say he left the end of last season in regression is showing contempt for him and is specious reasoning. Give the guy a chance to show what he can do with a full deck, without raking him over the coals.

Held on to the ball way too long, fumbled way too much did not go through progressions and had poor pocket presence. He might have improved slightly in the last few games but that doesn't cover up his poor performance. Most franchise QBs that last in the NFL don't have stats that drop off like DJ's in their 2nd year

I expect him to make a substantial jump this year ... hoping that it's enough to eliminate a lot of the doubts about him.
