Fun? This looks like an exam. I want Parsons, or Slater. I know a lot of talk about Parsons not being there at 11. I don’t buy it, I think he will be there sitting right for the taking at our spot. The question is, will the Giants pull the trigger? As for surprises? Not sure, there is always a team that defies logic. And it’s normally a team, that is a perennial loser. I could see one team reaching for a quarterback.

An OL pick will have a comfort factor
A Parsons pick will have the excitement for the D but leave thinking the NYGs offense scored 18.5 points per game last season.
A Smith pick will be bar far the most exciting and then I will be wondering where they will get their OL and D help in the rest of the draft.

Ladies & Gents,
Congratulations! We've made it to Day 1 of the draft. For fun, feel free to answer the questions below.
Top 3 Hopes (No rules):
1-Lawrence 2-Pitts 3-Chase
Top 3 Hopes (Realistic):
1-Waddle
2-Smith
3-about a dozen guys
Favorite:
OL-Jenkins WR-Chase CB-Toss up Surtain and Horn LB-Collins Edge-Phillips
Would you rather (no other choice):
D. Smith vs. Waddle - Waddle Slater vs. Sewell - Sewell Horn vs. Surtain vs. FInley - Toss up Surtain & Horn Paye vs. Ojulari vs. Phillips - Phillips Parsons vs. Collins vs. J-O-K - Collins OL vs. WR - Depends on the players there, but I think generally speaking OL is a more important position than WR. Edge vs. CB - Depends on the players there, but I think we are more likely to find a better player at CB than ER at 11. Offense vs. Defense - Depends on the players there, with needs everywhere really could go either way here Stay at 11 vs. Trade Down to 15+ - Depends on the players there. If either Waddle or Smith are there I am taking one of them. If not trade down as there are about a dozen other guys I like fairly equally.
Surprises (Reaches, players falling, predictions....)
With watching the draft for as long as I have, I don't think there is anything that could happen that would really surprise me. At best I could say that it is unexpected.
I think the biggest surprise would be Lawrence not going #1. Even that wouldn't be particularly surprising, just unexpected.

What better way to get your newly acquired quarterback comfortable in his new surroundings. Then by drafting a stout offensive lineman. Slater or Sewell would be ideal for them.

That leaves Sewell and Slater. I think Sewell goes before Slater. To who? Not sure. Panthers need offensive line help bad. Darnold got used and abused with the Jets. So much, he saw ghosts. Kid, needs protection to see if he can reach his potential.

Though I think he will still be on the board at 11.

Top 3 Hopes (No rules):
1) Trevor Lawrence 2) Kyle Pitts 3) Jamar Chase
Top 3 Hopes (Realistic):
1) DaVonta Smith
2) Jaylen Waddle
3) Rashawn Slater
Favorite:
OL - Rashawn Slater WR - Jamar Chase CB - Jaycee Horn LB - Micah Parsons Edge - Jaelen Phillips
Would you rather (no other choice):
D. Smith vs. Waddle - Smith Slater vs. Sewell - Sewell Horn vs. Surtain vs. FInley - Horn Paye vs. Ojulari vs. Phillips - Phillips Parsons vs. Collins vs. J-O-K - Parsons OL vs. WR - WR Edge vs. CB - CB Offense vs. Defense - Offense Stay at 11 vs. Trade Down to 15+ - Depends on who is available
Surprises (Reaches, players falling, predictions....)
The Giants surprisingly get their choice of Sewell/Slater/Smith/Waddle and they trade back only to not have any of them available at 15.

With Alexander Johnson, Josey Jewell, Bradley Chubb and Von Miller. Would they add another talented linebacker to an already good unit? Not sure. If the Broncos don’t go Parsons, they might grab one of the corners. Jaycee Horn or Patrick Surtain Jr.

But who the hell knows really, if there is one thing you can expect from every NFL draft is unexpected things will happen.

Agreed with Parsons. I think he's there for the taking if we want him. One of my surprises is he actually falls out of the 1st round due to everything off the field. That might be a bit extreme, but I can definitely see him sliding.

Want Smith
Would be happy with Waddle but I think he goes in the top 10
I think both top 2 OL are gone in the top 10
Happy with Horn or Surtain
Happy with Parsons but who knows if they have him on the round 1 board.
Don’t draft an edge rusher before pick 20.
If they trade back I would consider a receiver like Bateman
Need to come out of the draft with serious upgrades on O.

Unless we draft Richard Head from Booger Hole, West Virginia. I’ll be happy whomever they pick. Not a cornerback though..

The top 3 I think would most help the Giants are:
1. Phillips 2. Zaven Collins 3. Leatherwood (T ability but will likely be a dominating guard)
Where these guys could be or would be drafted could be debated....but as far as what they bring to the table...the Giants could use any of them.
I think the Giants offensive skill players and secondary are their strongest units. I wouldn't add to them when there are other solid players in areas you need help.

I'm hoping for Smith or Waddle but wouldn't be upset with Parsons. I wouldn't want any of these edge rushers at 11 though would be ok with one of them if we traded back.

Panthers need offensive line help bad. Darnold got used and abused with the Jets. So much, he saw ghosts. Kid, needs protection to see if he can reach his potential. They have Cam Erving and Taylor Morton as their OT's, I doubt they use the 8th overall pick for an OT As much as I want Pitts, I REEEEEEAAAAAALLLLLLY want Pitts, I cant see him making it past them. They have a good and young WR corp, 2 good and young tackles, a good 4 man front, 2 good CBs...... MAYBE Micah Parsons, they could use him as a SLB and he would feast from that position I think Carolina will go either Kyle Pitts or Micah Parsons in the 1st..... An outside chance at a CB

I could also see them going with Paye, they need help on their DL and Paye would fit in there perfectly as a 3-4 DE. While less likely in my eyes, I could ALSO see them going with a CB, even though they have 2 very good CBs on the better side of 30

While there are some 1st rounders I would prefer more than others, there are a TON of players Id be totally cool with broken down in tiers
Tier 1; Kyle Pitts
Tier 2; Penei Sewell
Tier 3; DeVonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle, Ja'Mar Chase
Tier 4; Rashawn Slater, Jaycee Horn, AVT, JOK, Tevin Jenkins, Rashod Bateman, Zaven Collins
Tier 5; Pat Surtain, Christian Darrisaw

An outside chance at a CB Are we talking about the same Cam Erving who played in 6 games last year? Morton is a good player, but they still need upgrades on the line. They just invested into Sam Darnold. You have to start building a line in front of him. I would be surprised they don’t go in that direction.
