The whole conspiracy narrative around the Cowboys and Eagles getting together to give us a one two punch is the stupidest thing coming out of day 1. There is so much good and legitimate stuff to write about on a day like yesterday.........why they chose to create a non-story boggles my mind. no conspiracy but they were happy to do it. Hate those ****s even more now. Especially the Philthy ****ing Eagles!! Man I hope we sweep those assholes

At first it felt like we got bent over, but I guess it worked out the best it could've. I hope Toney becomes the next Jerry Rice. I felt that Dave got bent over too but have since decided he did OK.

Here is my final thoughts about round 1....what the hell is up with capri suits, slide on shoes and no socks? Next to the one time Romper Craze, it looks dumb as hell.
I remember when suits fit and they had one break at the top of your shoes....then again I remember when we wore our pants up to our chins....but damn!

Happy Friday!! Better yet, happy Day 2!! What a rollercoaster night! After getting some sleep, here are a few thoughts I have: 1) Talk about a surprise! Did anyone have us drafting Toney in any scenario?? I'm not a big fan of the gadget type WR in general, so in a vacuum I'd give the pick a C+ or B-. Considering the fact we traded back and got a kings ransom in return, I give Rd1 a B+ or A- .
2) DG & Friends were trying to trade back again at #20. They waited until the last minute to make their pick, which makes me think they were taking calls. I wonder if they had their eyes set on guys like AVT or Collins.
3) Smith was clearly our guy at #11.
4) F$@! the Cowboys. I can't believe they actually traded back and "helped" a division foe.
5) The Eagles are a joke. I'm actually surprised they only gave up a 3rd to trade up, so kudos to them there, but their roster is old and full of holes. I feel bad for Smith.
6) There is a lot of talent to be had. I expect us to go after IOL and DL/EDGE on Day 2, but can still see us going in nearly any direction. Even TE or WR again. Barmore is someone to keep an eye on.
Go GMEN!!! AVT and Collins were off the board before 20 Exactly. I wonder if the GMen had their eye on them and expected at least one to be there. The way they let the clock get down to nearlly a minute makes me think they were considerig trading back again. Pure speculation.

Go GMEN!!! Don’t think Smith was ever the guy, but it doesn’t matter now. Had the Bears offered us what they did with Smith still on the board, the Giants STILL would have traded down.....WRs are a dime a dozen. A little surprised they took Toney at 20, but there are still plenty of defensive players and offensive linemen on the board. That would've been a crazy scenario! I agree and am also a bit surprised with the Toney pick. If I'm being honest, I can't say I'm head over heels with it. The gadget type WR's seem to bust so often I simply have a biased against them. Toney reminds me of Waddle, and I had the same problem with Waddle. The positive for the Giants, however, is the fact we have other established weapons in place. Toney, Smith, and Waddle wouldn't have had to step in and be the Day 1 WR1. We can actually play them to their strengths....assuming Garrett pulls his head out of his ass.

Love it. Good Morning Football has this OG from Wisconsin-Whitewater named Quinn Meinerz on their show every so often who seems like he could be a steal in Rd3+. OL seems pretty deep still.
