I loved that era of hockey. I was so into hockey growing up on L.I. I remember these players. You notice how many players weren't wearing helmets.

Honestly Hockey may be my favorite sport at this time. So fast, so skilled, so violent, continuous action. And live??!! Amazing!!

Honestly how did the refs decide who to toss and who to let play... Everyone was at one point brawling
The funny thing was seeing Tiger Williams one of the few that weren't thrown out Used to love to read box scores of games with brawls and the period that one would happen would take up one entire newspaper page length with all the penalties

Be in the blue seats at the Garden circa 1980 something for a fast paced sudden death playoff OT game. Rangers hit a post and then immediately gave up the game winner. That place went from insane to dead silent instantly. Upon leaving head down at a very brisk pace you didn't look at nobody lest you just start throwing punches out of sheer anger and frustration.

Could you imagine what it was like to be in that building when Matteau scored? Like the roof nearly exploded off the building. I remember watching live and going nuts, but being there?? I couldn’t even imagine.

I was at a game where he actually scored a goal. He was overjoyed.
