For 2 conditional draft picks.
We are banking that Barkley being healthly and carrying the load this yr. But if he cant are we comfortable with booker/ clement etc. I all the others are nice pieces to come in here and there to spell Barkley but not starters
Michel has been a starter for and even played in SB
Not sure why they got rid of him. Always heard good things about him. Maybe beat out in camp but enough to not even want him on their roster?

For a conditional 5th and a 6th round pick. a 1st round RB just 3 years ago.
RBs have very low value in the NFL these days.

Been working so havnt seen anything on it other then he was traded for the conditional 5th & 6th round picks which is mind boggling to me Has to be more too it something had to happen He'd of been a good insurance policy to have if Barkley.. well you know. We all have our doubts in the back of our minds.

we haven't really seen much from Barkley since his rookie year so who knows what he's got left in the tank, injuries may have taken a big toll on him and he won't be the same player he was, I hope I'm wrong on this...

Drafted ahead of Nick Chub ... ouch Sony took the lions share of the carries in college...you know, cuz Chubb was just returning from blowing up his knee.

Chubb was not “just returning from blowing up his knee” when he was drafted in 2018. His knee injury was in 2015. Michel and Chubb basically split carries in the 2017 season (Michel did not get the “lion’s share” of the carries because of Chubb’s knee injury). A lot of people had Chubb rated ahead of Michel before the 2018. He was drafted only 4 picks after Michel.

Why wouldn't he want to be traded? He would be a top rusher in the league in a solo role.

In 17 it was obvious he was just returning from injury. Chubb blew up after his combine when he poated similar results to saquon.

I only remembered because I was very focused on potential second round options at RB that year.

The Patriots normally don’t just get rid of good players. They, must know something we don’t.

Bill is just doing what Bill does. Lol, $4M cap hit, some people on here are all in on keeping Barkley at $16M. A player who has multiple injuries and hasn't been great since his Rookie season in 2018. Don't get me wrong, I'm rooting for Barkley to tear it up this year but you can't build a winner roster by paying injury prone players top end money. The Giants are already paying injury prone players money...
