Today? Makes me think about Karl Nelson, Billy Ard, Brad Benson, Chris Godfrey and Bart Oates. They sure didn't suck.

They ran the ball , stopped the run, rushed the passer and protected the QB...and our biggest passing threat was a TE! Pretty much everything Reese allowed to erode every year, and the model DG tried to get back to. I for one give Gettleman kudos for trying to get back to that blue print. What a time it was!! I miss it like a long lost friend.

Best Giants team ever. That D was vicious & their run game was brutal. Parcells loved to run it down teams throats even when they knew the Giants where running it. Best OL as well. Like the great teams do, they won a ton of 1 score or less games but stepped it up in the playoffs & crushed SF/Skins/Den. Simms had no name WRs to throw to but they got the job done. Heck , Simms had no name WRs to throw to the majority of his career. 90' team is my 2nd favorite followed by the 07' then 11' teams.

Can’t help but think about the “champions for life” video a lot of the players did after the season. It was cringe worthy to say the least. To be honest listening to Phil Mckonkey talk about pro life issues is laughable to say the least.

86' team was the most dominant of all 4 SB teams in the playoffs. 90' team was a close 2nd as they destroyed Chicago & got payback for that 21-0 div rd loss in 85'. defense won the SF/Buffalo games. I really think with a healthy Simms, we blow SF/Buffalo away. Hoss was the ultimate game manager in those 2 games. did just enough to win the games while committing 0 TOs. Threw 2 TDs vs Chi 0 ints had 0 TDs 0 ints vs SF & 1 TD 0 ints vs Buffalo. You would figure Simms woulda put up better passing stats than Hoss in those 3 games.

Oh yeah, that 00' D was #5 that yr. I really think Fassel should have stuck to the ground game more in the SB instead of throwing so much. Giants D only gave up 20pts as 14 other came via pick 6 & KO RT for TD. The D played well enough to win that game. Just unfortunate to have played that Ravens D.

Greatest Giants of ALL TIME!!!!! You saw the looks on their faces and you could see that they WANTED to play ball. They were confident in their abilities. They made each other better players. They respected their coaches and each other. Nobody is perfect but this team was pretty damn close. My heroes!
