Sometimes I laugh at the fans who get super upset during gameday knowing our team sucks and expecting a different result.. Actually its not just sometimes One thing for certain, I sure as shit will not give the Giants org one red cent of my money. I have my Giants gear but get it through alternative sources If it’s licensed, you’re giving the Giants money when buying that gear. Well they spelled Giants wrong and it was in purple and red...so I think I'm ok

When things go bad, I stop watching the Giants. I may watch the Bills play, get on the PS4. Anything positive. The Giants have been all negative

I've been a Giants fan for over 40 years and the last 10 years have been the toughest stretch that I have had to endure. I don't get that mad anymore. I guess apathy has finally set in. Ok, with that being said it's time for another scotch.

I get upset. I get let down. But usually it passes by Sunday night. Hopefully by Monday. At worst it lasts till Tuesday.

Decided to cheer myself up by watching other games. Arizona vs Cleveland seemed interesting and noticed Golden is playing for Arizona and has 2 sacks in this game. The same Golden we traded to Arizona for a 6th rounder and now we complain because we do not get pressure

Having been a fan since the 60's... As a kid, I cried.... As a young adult I swore and threw things... Now I just move on... Fan since the 80s here and I'd say this describes me as well.

I did not watch the game today. Not even the "highlights".
As I've gotten older I am quick to turn away from things that waste my time.

When it gets bad I do a 180 and root for it to be REALLY bad thinking that complete meltdowns will end up in a catastrohpic teardown where the entire team is blown up and great change will come upon us and an entirely new regime will come in and guide the reinvigorated giants to the promised land and we ll be feared and respected as we take the league by storm...

Maybe I can embrace losing? If I lose hope then I will not have my heart broken every time we lose?

As bad as we feel I imagine some players (not all) feel worse.

Maybe I can embrace losing? If I lose hope then I will not have my heart broken every time we lose? You don't have to embrace it but you certainly should expect it. Here is the way I look at it. Around 22 fan bases hope/expect to win. At some point all but 1 will be broken hearted this season. The sooner I lose hope the less heart break. Sadly I still have hope so my heart will be broke a little more for a while.

Maybe this a therapy session. I don't know but it's certainly free. My question is how do you cope as a Giants fan? Many have determined there are some serious fundamental problems with this team. Some think it's the coach / coaching staff or talent while others say it's the GM or ownership and their process. My belief is the issue is deep and for those that see it that way how do we cope knowing you keep putting in a new coach and staff, new players, new GM and still same results. Are we missing something? I heard all the Mara bashing and there could be a lot of truth in where the issues are but how as fans do we handle this? I used to say once we get a good GM and coach things will turn around. Once we get a better coaching staff it will be a huge difference and so on and so on. We all know about Einstein's definition of insanity. I am sorry to report I have a hard time with my attitude on Sunday watching this team. I just feel negative about Sunday and the future. They keep my attention just enough for me to watch and then let me down on a consistent basis. I think what makes the losing very difficult is that I don't see an end in sight. If management has a flawed system then good execution can only take place if the system is changed. If the Giants family operation doesn't change then the results will be the same as we are currently seeing. The real issue is the fans need to be the 12th man and cheer the team on and more than that believe in there team. This belief helps win games but I think many fans are wondering how the Giants lose there next game meaning there attitude is very negative. Rightfully so, do we see a great future on the horizon under this current management system? It's hard to be optimistic and it's very hard to be positive. How do you cope? I know it's not easy! Go Giants! It's upsetting and depressing I just want to see the Giants win again and make the playoffs. I am also a Knicks and Yankees fan so Its not all bad and ASMR after a bad loss! Scottish Murmurs ASMR her name is Lauren H Woods!

Over the last 5 or so years they've been out of it very early. Not enough time for me to get emotionally wrapped up in the season. So by early to mid October I'm on to different things..I'll still watch occasionally, but losses don't matter when the games don't matter. This. I made a vow to myself to not expend my precious energy on losers. Works like a charm.

Watched every Giants game during the Dave Brown, Kent Graham, Danny Kanell ERA...I remember hoping that Mike Cherry would develop into a Steal for us at QB lol
So Yeah this is nothing compared to that ERA

If one is a true Giant fan, they know the Giants are a pathetic team with a High School JV HC, and a dimwit GM….they could benefit from this by betting against this team and it’s players on individual prop bets. One can make money from this dumpster fire of a team, which can make their weekly collapses entertaining…….and profitable.

There are much better ways to spend your Sundays especially if the weather is nice. I missed yesterday's game and it did wonders for my mental health.

I don't let the losses bother me anymore and I don't put myself in a position to listen to fans of other NFC East teams to break my balls about how bad the Giants are.
All week I plan not to watch the game... and then once it starts I just can't help watching it...foolishly hoping for something to change. Its like a bad accident that you can't turn away from. And they usually start out well, I think we are one of 3-4 teams who haven't allowed points in the first quarter this season?
This week I'm not tuning in...I swear. Going to a brewery or something. I really mean it!

Massively adjusted expectations helps.
I saw a lot of fans getting excited about the FA signings and I silently shook my head.
I also take comfort in the fact that I’m not the Maras. I can go do something else on Sundays.
So many people will say they’re stupid out of frustration, but they’re not. I don’t think they’re satisfied being rich with a losing team. I’m sure this is torturing them far more than we as fans are tortured.
But they’re too close to this to accurately figure out what’s wrong.

For me, the expectation of losing is built into my viewing. The only excitement is figuring out how they are going to lose. Last second or blowout. Key O turnover or D lapses.
The only real given is that they will give up a TD in the last minute of the half. And, if it's somehow close, the last minute of the game.
And I'm an optimist by nature.

kind of like the 4 stages of grief I guess. when i get to the last one "acceptance" which happened last week, i just find myself watching other teams more and more after. like yesterday in the 2nd half i barely watched giants game, and watched mostly redskins chiefs instead. so basically giants lose out on monetizing me as a fan, but the league doesnt
