This guy is horrible. He is so bad and DJ is gonna get badly clobbered. Who is on the bench that can hold up? Solder is so pathetic.

He’s a revolving door with a jersey. His best play yesterday is when he walked off the field. The announcers alluded to something during the game. They said.. “Nate isn’t comfortable at left tackle.” I was like hold up, did I hear that right? A player who has played that position all of his career. Is now hesitant when he plays it? The Nate Solder experiment, should be thrown into the deepest depths of the ocean. Right next to Ray Handleys coaching resume.

It is time for brutal honesty and to end his career. If he would like to remain involved with the team he can do so as a coaching assistant.
Does not deserve a roster spot

if we at home see it then for sure the coaches see it and just continue to ignore it. I guess out of respect for Solder, they don't want to bench him but he is really bad

He was supposed to be a swing tackle not a starter RT and Edge is where it starts in the draft with their 2 first round picks . not even good depth right now He is straight garbage right now but he is only getting $3M in cash this year after he took a paycut. If I recall correctly, Solder is making the same amount of money he would have made if he had been cut. I'm not saying he deserves another chance, he should be gone but the I believe the Giants aren't paying any extra to have him play for them this year.

There has to be someone on the street or an unprotected ps player out there right now that would be better than Solder. Find him now and bring him in!

Talk about GM spin, "we are bringing him back to provide depth at both tackle spots and mentor the young kids." I don't want him in the same room as the young players.

Exactly if he was done they should have just let him go. He's a nice guy and has had a lot to overcome in his personal life but father time has caught up. We do not need mentors that cannot back up their talk on the field any longer. Bringing in Flaherty and a highly touted O-line coach from college that understands the younger O-line guys coming up to the NFL these days should be good enough.

I'm really struggling to remember a LT that gets beat with greater frequency than Solder. Does anyone know how many pressures this guy gave up in yesterday's game? I would be shocked if it isn't greater than 6. He allowed 8 against the Cowboys and who knows last week.

This is exactly why I laughed when people said keeping him “was a good deal”. I don’t care if he was playing swing tackle for free, he’s not worth the collateral damage he causes. But Hog Mollie Dave Gettleman and Joe Judge were comfortable with who they had and this is what we get. Disgusting.

Insane! What is he comfortable with than? Collecting his check?? If left tackle doesn’t suit him, maybe left out will.. Ha, that's a solid plan right there. BTW we didn't just pay him LT money, we paid him stud LT money. With that money we could have signed 3 people capable of playing at a higher level than him, not great but legitimate NFL OL. This is a perfect example of why our roster is depleted. How and where you choose to spend money has real impacts. Evaluating talent is just about as important as coaching imo.

A line is only as good as its weakest link but Nate is not our only weak tackle.
Garret had DJ rolling out most of the game. That was the right decision. What I do not understand is why it took 6 games to start doing that.
