He can take the top off of the defense. Golladay can't. In limited time, Ross has been more explosive and has the only TD between the 2 of them. I know what we all wanted Golladay to be to this team (Plax), but he hasn't shown it even when he was healthy. Maybe things will change if he comes back this season, but I doubt it. The Giants havent even come close to showing what Golladay is yet. Hes actually the closest thing weve had in a while to that tall, rangy sorta receiver we've historically done so well with, the guy that might not be the fastest, but if you just put the ball in his direction, hes gonna go up for it, fight for it, and come down with it. we havent seen golladay for what he is yet, not at all, and i just hope garrett and judge playcall to take advantage of exactly the kind of receiver he is. funny thing, DJ is a good fit of qb for golladay, if they just get the ball up in the air to him downfield. Yeah, he definitely looks the part, and maybe he does need a few more downfield jump balls thrown his way to show his value. It's interesting though to think how much more the Giants valued him than the rest of the league including the Lions. Ultimately I value guys getting separation much more than physical receivers. I want Jones to have a nice clean read, not to have to force feed it or launch a prayer to our receiver who should be able to out duel the CB.

Well with him on the field, the offense is infinitely more explosive and capable. But yeah, other than that... Infinitely more explosive? We’ve scored 13, 29, 14, 27 and 20 points with him in the line up. And he has 0 TDs this season. Your turn!! Good luck..

Do you? I know that when he was healthy he was 7th overall in yardage and #1 in touchdowns. “When healthy…” I’m so tired of reading that on Giants forums. Using stats with this sport is a joke since the circumstances are completely different from game to game..

But Golloday is leading all starters at 16.6 yards per reception this season, there is no question he makes the offense better when he’s on the field. He just hasn't been.

My concern isn't how many yards KG gets once he catches the ball. My concern is that he has only caught the ball in 59% of his targets. That is 19th on the Giants. Engram gets a lot of grief but he has caught it 69% of the times he is targeted. Shep is at 78%. KT at 77%

Sounds more like stats for stat’s sake.

I just have not been blown away so far in his career as a Giant. I'm not writing him off. I just want to see him be the guy we all hoped he would be.

I think he’s $40 mill guaranteed, so for all intents and purposes it’s a three year judgement window. That said, he’s gotta stay on the field for even the opportunity for that to start turning in a positive direction.

Are you claiming that Golladay is a down field receiver but sucks on the short patterns needed to move the chains?? Long rangy receiver the Giants have done so well with?? Come on who else besides Plax for a couple of years are you talking about? I'm actually surprised anyone knows what Golladay is besides injured.. Looking forward to see it some day! My dude I never said anywhere at all that he 'sucks on the short patterns needed to move the chains' those are all your words, not mine. Im suggesting that his build and style of play is more akin to the larger types of receivers we've had, toomer, nicks, plaxico, all over 6 ft tall, all able to go up and fight for the ball. golladay is a type of receiver we've been sorely lacking, and we've barely seen him play, thus havent seen him make those kinds of plays most giants receivers never make.

We will have to disagree since I find the Toomer and Nicks comparisons are incorrect.. Has Golladay done a good job for the Giants on those shorter patterns to move the chains this year?? Enjoy your day my dude.. lol

I want Jones to have a nice clean read, not to have to force feed it or launch a prayer to our receiver who should be able to out duel the CB. And with DJ trying to clean up his turnovers, he might be less willing to throw to a receiver in tight coverage, especially if he hasn't had a lot of experience with him. Which he hasn't because of the injuries.

I think KG can be an asset on the right team but we do need to see more for that contract as a Giant.

Wasted money? He got hurt early in the game after his best game as a Giant. I also thought he played well against the Falcons. Or he's wasted money because he's been hurt? I'd say its waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too early to place any sort of judgement on the Golladay signing. Golladay had just started making plays the kind most our WRs don't contested tough catches if they can keep him healthy he will be another weapon, way early to be counting him out he is gonna be here for a while with his 16.5 yards per catch lets hope we get to see it for the last 9 or 10 games and all 17 next year. doesn't Golladay have a history of being injured before he came here..

This is great news. If all 3 play, I think the Giants have a great chance to win this game.

I think Shep, KT, KG and Barkley all play.
They didn't put KG and Barkley on IR because they thought they would be out less than 3 weeks. This week would make 3 weeks. I honestly think they were holding them out to have a chance at getting people back for this game. Took a chance against the Panthers, which obviously paid off. Now we roll into KC with a healthier Shep, KT, KG and Barkley and shock the world.
100% MFers. Book it.
