Agreed. Same situation - there might be elements of my job that are annoying that I’d happily pay others to do if it was feasible, but overall I’m very lucky to get paid to do something I’d be flattered to do for free. dayum. I recently took a "dream job" after 23 years at my previous company. I work in my professional specialty in a young vibrant company in one of the fastest growing industries on the planet, one that I happen to be intimately close to (I won't keep you guessing, got a job with one of the large cannabis companies over the summer!!), but I still wouldn't work for free, lol. And no, I don't get free product samples, sadly, I work remotely and don't even have access to company product... My son wants to be a grower so we've been trying to find where the best spot for him to get involved and so far it's not NJ..

I fully understand lots of people don’t like their jobs and it’s all about money but to say everyone is like that is a broad and inaccurate assumption. There’s guys I work with that literally have had one foot in the grave but kept doing it because they loved it. Others have pushed and pushed until they were no longer able to do it and it had zero to do with the money. I still find certain aspects of my job rewarding and I can honestly say if I won the lottery 10-15 years ago or even 5 years ago, I would have kept doing it. However, as of the past few years, I would be gone in a heart beat and will retire as soon as financially able which won’t be for another 12-15 years. I dread just thinking about it.

hope he has more incentive than just money. If thats a players only reason then they wont ever be consistent or very good for that matter. The only reason people work is for money. If I did need to feed my family there would be 100 other things that I would put my effort to. A job is a job. Don t get fooled by the pr talk to build a brand. It an entertainment business built for profits. It always about the Benjamins. depends on the job whether you work just for the money. For me, and not saying I'm right, in sports the best players are playing because of passion for the game. The money is a goal for sure but the best of the best play an train to be the best above the money factor. You think Brady just does it for the money?

Yeah, the NJ laws suck. originally my thoughts were to start a craft size place when our laws allow it, but this opportunity came up and I jumped. My company has no presence here as of yet. I wish your son well, it's a complex industry, even before all the compliance crap, but demand out-ways supply by a huge margin. if he can figure out how to do it well, on a consistent basis, there is a lot of money to be made.

Don t get fooled by the pr talk to build a brand. It an entertainment business built for profits. It always about the Benjamins. 100% disagree. I loved my job until recently and would have done it for free for ~20 years if I didn’t need the income. There are millions of people that love their jobs and look forward to it every day. Do you think Tom Brady is playing for money? What about Favre? I could name plenty of others but hopefully you get the point. You will only find a handful of Tom Brady's in the NFL. Funny you choose the GOAT. I don't know what kind of socioeconomic background he comes. Most of these guys are trying to make a better life for their family than where they came from. Maybe 1% of the NFL is made of of the dream workforce like Brady, perpetuated by business owners. You want to know a secret they can't pay everyone to be best and everyone can't be the best. It's a math problem. How do get everyone to work hard and maximize you profits? It is just a motivation tactic to "find your passion" because your job can't pay. I am glad you found a job you love but you even said you would only work for free if you didn't need the income. That is my point really. If they cut your salary in half will you still work for them? You find it mentally rewarding as long as it is financially rewarding. That is all I am saying most of these guys are doing it for the money because they if they don't they are just going to be tossed out or injured. It just business at the end of the day.

No, I don’t find it mentally rewarding only if it’s financially rewarding, that’s absurd. If I wanted to, I could have promoted several times to make more money but I was happy with what I was doing. If they cut my salary in half, I would try to find another place to work but pays better, I wouldn’t change my job. Of course I would only work for free if I didn’t need the income. I’m not going to live under a bridge to do a job I love, no one does. As I said, there have been and are opportunities where I could make more money but I wouldn’t enjoy it as much as what I do now so I didn’t pursue them, therefore it’s not all about the money. I understand what you’re saying, I just disagree that the majority of people are like that. People do their jobs for all types of different reasons that have nothing to do with money. I don’t think most cops do it for money, I don’t think most military personnel are willing to die because the pay and benefits they make are so great. I think a lot of teachers don’t do it for the money. I think a lot of coaches on all levels don’t do it for the money. I don’t think a lot of authors, writers or journalists do it for the money. I doubt most astronauts do it for the money. As far as players go, I think 1% is a gross underestimate. Most athletes that make it to that level got there because of their love for the game and as long as they can be competitive they would love to keep playing. I’m sure money is a nice perk but I don’t think 99% of them are all about the money, I don’t even think 50% of them are all about the money. So you don’t like that I used Brady. What about Eli, Shockey, LT, Jacobs, Gore, Romo, Witten, Dez? I could literally go on and on, even including scrubs that play because they love the game. Yes it’s a business, yes most players will try and get as much as they can because it is a business, but no I don’t think “most” players only play because of the money.

Kinda seems weird to be the 9th worst in the league against the rush for all this “stepping up” our D line has been doing. You have to be more positive or you’re gonna have posters attack you. Next time phrase it as: 23rd best rush defense. Bwahahahahahahahaha….literally just lol’ed, thanks for that.

I don't know but he wasn't looking for the ball. Looked completely lost No proof to show you just my opinion , you know those plays where WR's try and run a legal interference in their route ? That's what it looked like to me he was doing. Maybe he thought someone was suppose to cut underneath him. It just looked like that cause he wasn't expecting the ball at all. He didn't even turn around his back was to the play.
