Perfect. Glad Torres did some return mocking. On to Houston. We have to play better to win the next one but glad we're moving on.

Well back to our nemesis in Houston. These are the 2 best teams in the AL so it makes sense for them to be there.

No change in Cleveland’s starter. Same pitcher who was supposed to pitch tonight will pitch tomorrow. Ballzy strategy: "Aaron Civale starts for the #Guardians in Game 5 today. Here are his numbers from two regular season starts against the #Yankees: 0-2, 9 IP, 10 ER, 12 H, 3 HR, 3 BB, 9 K Anthony Rizzo hit two homers off Civale this year. Giancarlo Stanton had one." Oops Lol

Makes me wonder why no one on our team didn't do anything about that. Did I miss it? We won, which was the most important, but this guy mocked our ace pitcher. People used to get pissed if you tossed the bat aggressively after a homerun and this guy is literally saying shit and showing up Cole. Did we respond in any way? Earlier in the year Donaldson got into it with a fielder on the white sox and Chicago's catcher was ready to start throwing punches at him and yet our response last night, unless I missed it, was "ho hum" next batter. Can't say I like that much. Trust me, something will be done at the conclusion of tonights game. Good or bad. Boom!

Retaliation doesn't have to mean beaning one of their guys at the plate. It could be our catcher or first baseman or someone says, "Hey asshole cut that shit out" or one of our players when we get a hit gesture at their dugout or pitcher. I mean, the lack of response last night or if they don't do something tonight really says something negative about this team in my opinion. Next season it won't matter. Show some fight now ... Show something that you won't put up with that shit. Like I said, if they win tonight, there will be emotions and taunting IMO. After the game. Someone will do or day something to call him out Boom again!

Hicks is done. I assume we can bring someone else up?

Hicks is done. I assume we can bring someone else up? Well, he may be missing the rest of the postseason, but I sure wont be missing him in that lineup. Locastro fills his spot already. Backup 4th OF for defense. I say call up Peraza and put Oswaldo back in the OF.

If I was a Cleveland fan, I would be pissed at Francona for starting Civale over Bieber. It cost them the game, and the series.

I forgot about Benintendi. Damn he would be a great addition to this team for the ALCS but sounds like he isnt there yet.

Glad they did something. I'm not a fan of what Naylor did but you need to respond in some way. And they did. So, I'm happy. I'll be happier if we beat Houston.

here's why I wouldn't be surprised if a tired Yankees squad steals Game 1 from the Astros tonight: "Justin Verlander (0-0, 13.50 ERA in postseason) gave up six runs on 10 hits and one walk in his Game 1 ALDS start on Oct. 11 against the Mariners at Minute Maid Park. That was Verlander’s first playoff start since losing both starts in the 2019 World Series against the Nationals. In his last five postseason starts (since Game 2 of the 2019 ALCS), Verlander is 0-3 with a 5.97 ERA..." www.mlb.com/news/yankees-astros-alcs-game-1-starting-lineups-and-pitching-matchup

The Taillon Stallion gets the call for game 1 of the ALCS. Justin Verlander goes for the Asterisks.
My guess for the rotations:
GAME 1: Taillon v Verlander GAME 2: Severino v Valdez GAME 3: Cole v McCullers GAME 4: Cortez v Javier GAME 5: Taillon v Verlander GAME 6: Severino v Valdez GAME 7: Cole v McCuller (All hands on deck)
German, Schmidt or Montas could fill in for Taillons second start if he struggles.

Peraza! Looks like my guess is correct and they move Cabrera to the OF. Peraza could be the starting SS in the ALCS, wow. Montas will be a reliever / maybe replacement for Taillon if he falters Game 1. Those 3 "still no" are a big 3. Benintendi would be a big add to this lineup. DJL miss the bat. I think he could be done for the year. And Ron came on strong and will be missed once again in a long series.

Errrrr.... not what I would do, but I guess they dont want to start the kid at SS without much experience at the MLB level. They did with Cabrera though. I like Carp DHing if he is 100%. Dont like Stanton in the OF.

Um, the Phillies right now look like a team of destiny. Scorching hot at the right time.
Jeez
Up 4-0 in the 2nd inning, already up 1-0 in the series.
