There was no reason you shouldn't have beaten us in the playoff game. 2021 was supposed to be a rebuilding/reloading year for the Sux.. It’s scary to think what your team is going to look like in 2022 and beyond. Same goes for the Rays & Jays.

Yankees: Future signee Roderick Arias looks like an absolute monsterThe New York Yankees will be adding a shortstop for 2022, whether it’s a short-term option or not. They’ll also be looking for ways to transition top prospects Anthony Volpe and Oswald Peraza into the mix, whether it be through moving Corey Seager to third base or signing a shorter-term solution. Oh, and they’re the odds-on favorites to sign Roderick Arias, a 17-year-old shortstop who’s supposed to be the next Wander Franco. Not bad!
While we wait for that signing to become official so we can more emphatically insert the slugger into our future plans, Arias posted some more mouth-watering highlights on Halloweekend that’ll get you more excited for his MLB future. One look at this teenager, and it’s clear the Franco comps aren’t overblown.

Sweet! I saw Arias as the top international prospect and wonder who he was linked to.
Dominguez and Arias would be a great 1-2 in the prospect list and both young.
Anthony Volpe looked like a bust until this last season so of he continues he is probably the next SS of the Yankees.
Good to see.
I'll list my top under the radar prospects that should not be traded sometime soon. That's how i found Whitlock last year.

Brett Gardner's $2.3M Yankees Contract for 2022 Season Declined Both Brett Gardner and the New York Yankees declined his $2.3 million option for the 2022 MLB season, the club announced Thursday. Given his age (38) and service time, retirement seemed a plausible outcome for the outfielder following the Yankees' loss to the Boston Red Sox in the American League Wild Card Game. However, he was emphatic about wanting to return to the Bronx postgame: bleacherreport.com/articles/10014203-brett-gardners-23m-yankees-contract-for-2022-season-declined

It it time to move on. Blow up this team now that we're stuck with Boone 2 more years. Leave the roster and farm system intact with a lot of young prospects for Boone's eventual replacement.

Looks like Carlos Correa is their target in free agency. Thoughts? My thought is that they need a left handed bat more like a Corey Seager. He would be the guy I would go after.

Seagar does make more sense with the lefty bat, but I'm surprised to hear that they might sign another big time contract. Trading for Matt Olsen seems more realistic.

I like him as a player but not a person. 27 years old next season, so age isnt a factor yet. Still should have 3-4-5 years of prime. Probably take a 10 year contract to pull him in. $300m+ too. .280, 25-30 HRs, 100ish RBIs should be expected in those prime years. Solid SS play. I was amazed to see he had 0 stolen bases last year. I thought he stole more. Besides signs I mean. Id rather wait to see if we can pry Xander Bogaerts away in 2022. Its a risk he opts out, but I like him more. Unfortunately he would be 30 by then too so his prime window would be short, but he probably would get less years and money. 8 years $250m or something.

Jeff Passan was on Michael Kay the other day. They were discussing just this and he agrees that Seagar would be a really nice fit for the Yankees. They also discussed the fans reaction to Correa should they go that route, and figure 80% of the fans would forget about the cheating before the ink dried on his signature.

I’ll say this if Correa does come to the Bronx… He’ll be treated worse than Stanton when he goes into a slump.

Justin Verlander might be joining the Yankees as soon as the end of this week. Thoughts? My thoughts are that his wife Kate is a Yankees fan and he is doing her a solid if he does come here.

Where did you hear this? It is just a prediction by Jeff Passan. Nothing more or less. He's typically on point.

Yanks met with Freddie Freeman. I would love that guy in pinstripes. He is 32 though, but he would take me back to the Mark Teixeira days.

Sounds like Yanks missed out on Verlander, as he signed a 1 year $25m deal with Astros.
And sounds like Correa and Story are out as FA additions as they will sign a "stop gap" SS to fill in until the prospects are ready.
Sounds like a cheapo move. Go get Didi again. Torres is a terrible SS.
