As a result, cannot play vs. the Chiefs this week......... www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32542413/green-bay-packers-qb-aaron-rodgers-tests-positive-covid-19-source-saysGreen Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has tested positive for COVID-19 and will not play against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, a source confirmed to ESPN.
The NFL has considered Rodgers as unvaccinated since the start of the season, sources confirmed to ESPN and as first reported by NFL Network.
Under league protocol, if Rodgers tests positive and is unvaccinated, he must quarantine for a minimum of 10 days and cannot return until Nov. 13 at the earliest, if he remains asymptomatic.
Rodgers, 37, petitioned the NFL to have an alternate treatment that he underwent before he returned to the Packers that would allow him to be considered the same as someone who received one of the approved vaccinations, sources told ESPN. After a lengthy back and forth, the league ruled that Rodgers would not get the same consideration and would be considered unvaccinated.---- Rodgers previously said he was “immunized” in August, and many took his comment to mean he was vaccinated, but immunized doesn’t necessarily mean vaccinated, at least in Rodgers’ mind. packerswire.usatoday.com/2021/11/03/why-unvaccinated-packers-qb-aaron-rodgers-will-start-vs-chiefs-and-maybe-more/

This is going to get ugly. Not being vaccinated is your choice, but the NFL made it very clear that there are strict protocols in place for unvaccinated players. Apparently Rodgers: 1. Lied about, or was wishy washy, his vaccinated status. 2. Did not follow any of the unvaccinated protocols. Yep. He could be looking at a suspension.

Doesn’t the NFL look for proof of vaccination? They just believe players and teams by word of mouth? Couldn’t this be a problem for the Packers organization along with Rodgers himself? Seems crazy the NFL doesn’t require proof of vaccination.

OMG, big deal. So he has a cough, fever & muscle ache, all regular flu symptoms. All of you looking for him to get suspended are laughable. Ya'll make it sound like he's got the bubonic plague. Unbelievable how so many of you live in fear of a china virus with a 99.8% survival rate.

So not following rules or lying is acceptable? Cool.

So not following rules or lying is acceptable? Cool. Not obeying the law & driving drunk & killing someone is a lot worse. Choosing what to or not to put into your body should be your choice & your choice alone. And let's not forget all our immigration laws & "rules' that illegals break on a daily basis. Those "acceptable" to you?

I just heard on the news that the whole team knew, because he has to wear mask in the facility.

You not only know that, you understand it because you've gotten plenty of immunizations in your lifetime. And you didn't say word 1 about it. You got your shots, kept your mouth shut and you moved on with your life. Yet for some reason you're now calling out others for making the exact same decision you made. It would be interesting if it wasn't so stupid.

When they say Rodgers underwent a "homeopathic immunization treatment" isn't that just a fancier way of saying that he met a shaman at his local Costco who burned some sage and rubbed some healing crystals and essential oils on him?

Idiot, everything was looking great for that team too. Who knows maybe his first round backup will come in and out perform him, just like how he pushed Favre out.

Like or dislike him, Rogers plays at an exceptionally high level.

I actually have no problem with him not being vaccinated or deciding he doesn't want to... the question is can he agree to follow a set of rules and then not follow them without repercussions?

We have a player being very dishonest about his vaccine status and didn't have to live under the same restrictions that every other unvaccinated player has had to deal with. The real question is whether or not the Packers and the NFL were in on it. If they were, then the NFLPA will have a huge grievance against the league.

I applaud Rodgers creative bending of the truth with the media...they don't really matter in this. The League/Packers on the other hand had to know he was unvaccinated - they were obligated to treat him the same as any other unvaccinated player.

"Didn't have to live under the same restrictions that every other unvaxxed person has had to deal with" You mean how Pelosi & her nephew Newsom did when they both did things like go to a beauty salon & have a large gathering of people at dinner when they told everyone else they couldn't do that? You mean like that? The hypocrisy from some of you on this board is laughable.

Aaron Rodgers main reason for not taking the vaccine was him worried that he might become sterile, so he consulted with a doctor, Joe Rogan about his fears and the best way to move forward.
