/photo/1 Two weeks in a row with over 90+ grades. Here's a snap shot of the defense Aaron Robinson looked good as well Robinson was the guy people were bitching about passing on an O lineman for FWIW(if he didn't get on the field this year I would probably agree) McKinney is trending twards a top safety Remember Dallas passed on this guy for another toy that they really didn't need because Wilson would have been just as good as Lamb IMO for them ... Having McKinney,Diggs and Parsons would be a problem for teams.... But And Love playing Swiss army knife role Ala a younger more athletic version of Logan Ryan like he did at times last year This secondary is starting to resemble what we thought it could be in preseason...just sucks yet again it took half a season to figure out how to use these guys One of these edge rushers next draft would be nice to really make this a formidable defense

If we drafted kyle Hamilton from Notre Dame, we would have an Elite Safety tandem. I think this spells the end of the Jabril Peppers era. Defense has been playing better without him and McKinney is not losing snaps to anyone. We couldn't pay Peppers and Ryan big money for limited 3 safety sets. Ryan is under contract so Pep is gone.
It's easier to find a decent strong safety who can play in the box but his coverage will be missed.

Of course we could draft a modern new age type LB ...that would mean losing the traditional GIANTS WAY rule for hight/weight restrictions (nobody under 240 lbs early )..

Two weeks in a row with over 90+ grades. Here's a snap shot of the defense Aaron Robinson looked good as well Two things really stand out to me. 1. John Ross needs more looks. 2. I don't know anything about football because I thought Crowder played well.

Maybe they could bring Peppers back on a team friendly one year prove it deal so that he can get his value up? He's been a great teammate and always plays hard.

I don't know anything about football because I thought Crowder played well. They ding him repeatedly because he gives up a lot of competions.. 7 for 32 yards is basically doing your job if it's his job to drop into coverage in a zone and play the guy post catch. I agree he has been steadily improving. Will he be Harry Carson ...never He is a good complementary beezer that especially will play better next to a lead dog...

Probably got a bad grade because of how successfully Philly ran the ball. When the opponent rushes for over 200 yards that usually grades out badly for a MLB.

Yup. I think the yards against in the run game probably also dinged him.

A lot of those runs were where Carter was playing The runs up the middle were on Shelton, chain reaction meaning linebackers were dealing with Olinemen mauling them

Not saying the rush yards against are on Crowder's head but there is definitely a domino effect so against the run in a game like last week, the MLB will get graded poorly by not necessarily any fault of his own.

Chris Myarick gets twenty points alone for catching a touchdown with his balls. He pretty much dropped it, and was lucky they couldn't overturn it. But pfffft probably graded it high.

Martinez is missed big time Crowder compliments him handling coverage while big Blake handled the run.

All this time I thought he was a liability in coverage.. there are some plays that Crowder has covered and others he hasnt. His play has exceeded his draft position but he isnt a top LB. He is solid overall for sure.

Maybe better said that is the better part of his game I know he doesn't grade out particularly well in either run or pass.

I think he needs to be replaced next season.. No doubt they can do better. With that said he is or would be a solid rotational player. Def produces more than some other guys on the front 7

Good thing we are all just amateur couch gm's and coaches

Not every position has to be manned by all pros on either side of the ball..people forget this that in the cap ers you can't. To have a well balanced defense from front to back IMO it's optional to have a dominant front and secondary.... Have one or 2 studs at the 2nd level and the other 2 solid and that is a 2021 version of a top defense..

You don't need PF to tell you how good McKinney is, but this is one of those instances where they get it right.
