We should get the best oline coach in the NFL. Someone like a Bill Callaghan or a Mike Munchak. wouldn’t make a difference. Review the same film, work on technique, do drills, go through reps yet the players aren’t NFL caliber. Glennon’s record is what it is for a reason. Miami is good at pressuring QBs Every team is good at pressuring our OBs.

Our oline is so vanilla. Most plays our blocking is so predictable.

I don’t think you need a better or the best OL coach to see that. You have to dress somebody, right? Zeitler and Slater could be on that right side. Gettleman runs the show. He opted out for a WR and parted ways with Zeitler due to his cap.

Not only will he improve our techniques and blocking schemes but he will be able to judge and find oline talent in the nfl to bring in. We need the best assets possible in players but we need a guy that knows blocking to help find those assets and then run schemes that work best. Obviously what we have done for years hasn't worked so why not bring in the best Oline coach instead of repeating years of mistakes?

The best oline coach would never have gone in to this season with this group. He would have seen how bad they were. He would have helped us find some hidden gems via draft, trade, or FA. The best would put in schemes to maximize our guys. What we have is not working. Why not bring in the best Oline coach to help? How could we get any worse?

Biggest indictment against Gettleman. That blow hard came in with his cliches and tough talk right out of the gate. He was going to fix the offensive line, and bring the Giants back to relevancy. Fast forward four years later, and we still have more questions than answers with the line. We swung and missed with Hernandez, we have the biggest contract in league history at tackle to a turnstile. And we take a flyer on Peart who at the moment can’t beat out a traffic cone.
Yeah, we got hit hard with the injury bug. Losing Lemieux, and Gates. It also doesn’t help when you sign Fulton, and Looney for depth. And they call it quits at the 11th hour. No matter how you look at it, the line got worse over the years. Which defies all logic..with resources and money spent you would think you would hit on a player or two. Nope, not with us. We’re the George Costanza’s of football. Every decision we make, is ultimately wrong.

It's all great if you have 6 to 8 years to develop a guy he bounced around and it took a while but he is in the top 10 John Matasco helps he was here years ago great OL coach. We should have tried him at G before cutting him. Much better at G. How many of us questioned why they never even put him there during training camp ?? I was literally searching everyday for a camp report that would mention flowers being put at guard for some reps. Never. Totally RETARDED. I'm sorry, it's just blatantly illogical..all of his issues exemplified someone who shouldn't be out on an island. Even his body size was great for a guard.

This line isn’t great by any means however there has been games where they have played well enough to win games .. blaming the O-line has become a really convenient excuse but i have seen more than enough plays where Jones or Glennon had time and nobody makes a play . Slayton has dropped 2 game winning touchdowns this year . There are times where Jones has time and he just completely fails to have any pocket presence and fumbles or throws a pick ..That is not the lines fault . This team has zero playmakers .. when I say playmaker I mean a guy that can catch a pass and take one 75 yards for the touchdown .. ZERO .. NONE … The last guy we had to make a play like that was Beckham.. before that was Cruz .. watch any other team and they have big plays a lot .. The Giants are constantly the most average , boring , lame team in the NFL.. it takes them 30 plays to score , that’s why we can only score 14 points a game .. While we are discussing this im going to say that saquon sucks on the giants .. he’s absolutely the wrong back for this team and his running style just doesn’t work .. you absolutely can’t have a running back that is hesitant or wants to go lateral with a line that struggles .. people can disagree all they want , although not as talented Gallman was a much better fit .. he hit the holes hard and was able to hit the creases without hesitation.. as bad as the giants have been evaluating talent everywhere their evaluation of running backs has been equally bad .. watch other teams .. their second and third string backs are light years better than our guys .. Toney can. He's just doesn't stay on the field thus far Barkley tooo

May have to offer above market money but it does not effect our cap so why not? Bring him in and listen to his advice. He may tell them to go draft or maybe draft and trade. The best coaches in the NFL know guys that can be really good in the pros and college. Some may be hidden gems. Some may be older guys looking for their last 1-2 year contract. Basically bring in the best and do exactly the opposite of what we have been doing.

A fortune to share this info league wide b/c everybody knows how hard it is to find talent with the NCAA so much different than the NFL. This league has been drafting QB’s who need direction on how to take a snap from under center and working on 3-point stances for linemen who have never put their hand on the ground.

I have seen it before where these guys bring in other non big name guys around the league and they do a really good job and people are all like well we always knew he was a solid player. I can not say for college for sure but these oline coaches that spend 20 hours a week in film rooms do know the guys around the league.

I looked up when we selected Peart. We used a #3 pick. Two years later we are told that Solder is playing better than Peart and that's why Peart is not starting. If Peart hasn't eclipsed the low-level play of Solder by now, we've wasted another high pick on an OL. Just one small example of this FO no being able to ID talent in the draft. It’s ridiculous!

10 years into rebuilding the OL and all we have to show for it is one LT. It is actually more than 10 if you consider that most of us here could see that last great line aging out together. We should have gotten a 3 year jump start on rebuilding. It’s mind boggling

I started off begging for high draft capital on the OL, I didn't know they were gonna fire our own pretty good OL coach tho in Flarety lol. Hopefully they can get one of the top 5 to come here for the money.

His first couple years at Guard in Washington he was no good they let him walk, so we were gonna wait 6 years for our franchise left tackle to become a guard he went to Miami where he was OK and sometimes not good at all then came back to Washington and finally is good. just like Pugh by the time they got it, their careers are over halfway gone, Hind sight is great but no one in the NFL gets 4 years never mind 7 years Flowers bounced around from here to Jacksonville to Washington they thought so highly of him they let him go to Miami who was just as excited about him and let him go back to Washington, It's not like he went to guard and was a stud a lot of coaches didn't think he would be much better and he wasn't till year 7.

The guy that used to be accused of cheap shots on Denver in the 90's did a really good job. We can just study film. Look at the best lines. Then evaluate and make our best decision. What do we have to lose? We have been at the very worst for the last 2 years.

The offensive line is total trash, but we got our best offensive lineman since Chris Snee was drafted. When was the last time the Giants had a good a LT as Andrew Thomas? Best in my memory since maybe Jumbo Elliot?? Maybe the best Giant LT in my 37yrs on earth

We drafted William Roberts (1st round), Eric Moore (1st), Jumbo (2nd) and Brian Winters (1st). Also brought in Bart Oates from the USFL.
