...to mask his own failings as "ceo?" Gettleman will be gone and the only question is who will replace him and what does that mean for Judge and his staff?
I can see Mara looking to bring in someone with a history with Judge, like Dave Ziegler from the Pats.
And when you go looking for a guy with a history with Judge, that is exactly what you will get. JM always starts in the wrong spot, a mark of a pathetic line manager, much less a little "ceo". How about he goes out and looks for the best GM money can buy? He will screw this up unless he gets really really lucky. He is a clueless man looking in all the wrong places for help. Look at his last 3 HC selections: A guy whose claim to fame was leading a QB room at GB with Aaron Rodgers dictating everything. A nice guy (which JM loves) with a W/L track record worthy of the Giants. A ST coach recommended by one of our fiercest competitors. JM is a clueless guy.

I voted no one because it's going to be pitched that Dave Gettlemen wanted to "retire" when everyone knows he should be fired but you know they have to be nice to Gettlemen for his years as a yes man. As for Joe Judge it seems like either Gettlemen or Mara is controlling what is coming out of this clowns mouth. For him to say that he's seen improvement in the offense and that the team is headed in the right direction I don't know what game he was watching.

So instead of being honest and firing DG straight up and leaving the next GM with a HC he didn't choose. JM, loser, little "ceo" that he is will backdoor fire DG to save face for DG and give himself some cover for .........well "shit happens." Then he announces a person who will "lead the search for our next GM" and that new GM will likely be the person who leads the search. Does this sound familiar. Losers do the same flawed processes over and over because it feels familiar and that gives them comfort. Comfort be damned!

JM will screw this one up like everything else. I think the most likely is that he fires no one. Next would be DG fired alone leaving the next GM with someone else's HC. I doubt it would be just Judge but JM is capable of something that stupid. The right pick would be firing both but that is the least likely imo. if the team does fire DG or he retires and Judge is still here it will make it very hard to bring in a good GM when his hands are tied with Judge as HC...I know I wouldn't want to take the job under those circumstances A lot of times the coach will stay until a GM is hired in most cases the new GM has the choice wether to keep the coach and staff maybe some of the staff we will see.

JM is a clueless guy. yes all great stuff! and lets have a look at what all these head coaches will probably have in common. 1) Ben MacAdoo is no longer a HC BUT he is a consultant to the Dallas Cowboys who are leading their division. 8-4 2) Pat Schumer is no longer a HC BUT he is the OC for the Denver Broncos who are just one game out of 1st place 3) Joe Judge TBD - does any of us think this man will be a HC after his stint with the Giants? Joe will probably be a special teams coach some where. The Giants just can't get it right but who really loses here? Not the previous HC's as they all moved to more success and John Mara and Steve Tisch are not losing anything maybe a little respect and the butt of some jokes at parties. The people who lost are the fans. I don't know how anyone would want to even pay for the parking tickets let alone the seats and high cost burgers and beers. As you said Jomo JM is no ceo.

I think both Judge and Gettleman will be gone this offseason. Hell, one or both may be gone before the offseason depending on how badly the losing continues.

If Mara fires DG and keeps Judge, that's setting our new GM up for failure and not giving him the reigns. It's really unfortunate for whoever is hired next.
Hopefully they clean house and Mara steps away from them football side of things and focuses on the business side of thing

Gettelman will get the Coughlin treatment. Gettleman will be the sacrificial lamb to appease the fans and the media and try to make it look like they are doing something to fix the problems when a lot of us feel the issues go higher up in the organization...

I have the feeling that DG will retire "voluntarily" and thus allow the owners to save face by not having to fire him...

Hopefully they clean house and Mara steps away from them football side of things and focuses on the business side of thing You have a better chance of hitting the PowerBall Lottery. John and Chris Mara appear to be very stubborn and people as rich as they are do not like being told what to do. The biggest crock of BS out there is how great the Mara family is. The media is very quick to rip all of the other parts, but rarely says anything about the people at the top. Here's Mike Lombardi's take on John Mara and he totally nails it: "John Mara is one of the nicest human beings on planet earth. Unfortunately, John Mara can't have an honest conversation about his organization or evaluate himself. That's just a problem. It's just a hard thing. He's loyal to people, he likes people. They're stuck in time. They can't get out of it. They won't change." A few years ago, he also called out the Giants for having too many people involved in the decision making and called for the team to hire an outside firm to evaluate their business practices. Fans on here killed him for it and called him an idiot. There is something very wrong with how the Giants are putting this team together from the front office down. Unfortunately for us, they continue to be a cash cow, which gives people like the Maras and Tische no reason to change how they conduct business.
