Every year this shit show continues, it reminds me more and more about the 70's. The worst part about the situation is that the Giants don't even have any money for 2022 so next year will most certainly also be a down year as well. Having a few extra draft picks won't turn this mess around even if they over perform....

This ERA...it is Rules put in place specifically for Offenses to put up more Points, and we can't even take advantage of that
It Is Bad...REALLY BAD!

7 1/2 minutes to go, down by two scores, and the giants are as slow, lethargic and lifeless as ever. they have no idea how to score and no instinct to win. just totally dead. its a disgrace.

Carl didn't say anything wrong. I wish that he would have specifically aimed criticism at Chris and John Mara, the only constants remaining from a decade of ineptitude. He kind of danced around that by mentioning player personnel and saying that the operation is a mess. Then again, maybe I shouldn't expect for him to criticize the men who pay him.

I do believe that the 60's and 70's were worse but it was before his time.

He's right that it’s hard to be this bad for so long in today's NFL. The Salary cap and free agency has created a parity where teams are equal. Even if you have average drafting, coaching and an average roster, you're 8-8.
It's takes extraordinary effort to be better or worse than that.

How come Banks never wanted to come coach with us? Not everyone wants to coach, even if they would probably be very good at it. It's a lot of work.

How come Banks never wanted to come coach with us? Because its easier to get behind a mic and critique others than to get in the arena and solve the problem.

Is Carl aware Glennon was the QB? He wasn't talking about one game. The start was all yesterday. He mentions how players are dropping footballs and the OL isn't good then mentioms Seattle who tripped into 21 points. Yeah, look the QB. And who do we blame when Barkley drops a few balls, Slayton drops balls and the QB is inaccurate? I'm amazed how many complain about yesterday. Mike Glennon led awful offensive team didn't produce. Shocking.

Hell, they scored 13 points with Jalen basically spotting them points the week prior during the eagles game, they fired an OC... If you think Banks and everyone else is just over reacting bc of yesterdays game you're missing the context, it just help fueled the discussions.

I like Banks and all he did for the Giants and our memories. Sometimes i don't agree with his take. Banks an some of these ex-Giants the media and a loud minority of the fan base helped send us down this road. They all chimed in for a finished Eli Manning. Banks claimed their were tears in his eyes. Thanks for the emotion but Eli was done. I sometimes raised an eyebrow when Carl for years endorsed the direction of the Knicks amd he couldn't have been more wrong. Like the guy but, Mike Glennon was the QB yesterday and some players like Barkley were dropping tge fball. What do you do? We're at 10 years of this

How come Banks never wanted to come coach with us? Would you want to tarnish your legacy with this S--t show? If he came here and coached and failed, nobody would buy any of his Mitchell and Ness stuff.. He'd be wise to do like LT and not watch games.

Carl was very fair.
I remember Jim Fassels last season. Our oline was horrible. Many Giants fans wanted almost everyone cut or traded including Tiki Barber. Sometimes you have to be careful not to throw the baby out with the bath water. Fix the line. That fixes the running game. That helps fix the red zone issues.

I love Carl Banks he bleeds Giant Blue. He was speaking so darn honest. He's as frustrated as the rest of us. He said out loud what every giant fan is seeing and there is nothing for him to gain by saying it.
You don't want to bite the hand that feeds you so it did take a certain amount of courage to come on a show and say what he did. But I bet everyone in the organization is saying the same thing we all are there just not saying it out loud.
I have nothing but respect for Carl Banks from the first day he put on a Giant uniform to today. Way to go #58.

Our OL was horrible back to Fassel. We've had consecutive GMs enamored with matchup nightmares. Ramses "tall man" Barden, Adrien Robinson, Evan Engram, Saquan Barkley etc. We could have a full throated OL by now if we used some of that draft capital, thoughtfully on the OL.

Ramses "tall man" Barden, Adrien Robinson, Evan Engram, Saquan Barkley etc. We could have a full throated OL by now if we used some of that draft capital, thoughtfully on the OL. Under Fassel it was bad but they did a quick rebuild of it by bringing in some vets. These were not long term fixes but they did the job for the short term. They had previously drafted Luke and brought in Ron Stone from the Cowboys. Stone took a few years but became a Pro Bowler as a Giant. Then they brought in 3 vets to finish out the line in 1 year. They were Lomas Brown, Glenn Parker and Dusty Ziegler. That was enough to get them to the Superbowl but they were short term fixes based on age and health. Just 3 years later 4 of the 5 guys on the line were new and their record dropped to 4-12. The line was a mess. They averaged around 15 points a game. The next year Cough came in and they signed Shaun Ohara at center and drafted Chris Snee. That made a large improvement. Diehl also improved in his second year.
