John Mara Official Appreciation Thread

We must never forget that the Mara family has brought us 4 SB's and 4 Championship Tittles. 3 Championship losses in the early 60's with Y.A. Tittle my favorite QB and the "Greatest Game ever played" loss (1958)! Yes, we have made some mistakes along the way too numerous to mention here! But on the positive side!

Dear Giant fans,
I understand your frustration, for I am frustrated too. I’m not only an owner, a general manger, and head coach, I am a fan. It saddens me deeply as year after year our team has yet to meet our expectations. I put a lot of trust into the men and women who work here, I should know. I hired them all. I hand picked each individual who works here. They come from well backgrounds, especially the ones who last names match mine. I think we’re onto something with this team. We have been fighting and playing hard every week. I see no losers on my team, winners if you ask me. Our record may not agree with me, but I know what winners look like, smell like, and some taste like. Joe Judge was highly recommended from a dear old friend of mine. He blew me away at the interview, I had to hold back tears as he went through my questions. I haven’t felt that way since I met my wife. If he was younger, I would adopt him. And yes, he’s had a rough two years here. But, the progress is there. As for what is the progress? Don’t worry about that, I know what it is. He will be here next year, and hopefully for the next 40 years. He’s the right man for the job, for I hired him.

As for our general manger. He will most likely call it a career at the end of the year. Boy, what a career he had. The man works tirelessly every day, last one in the building, first one to leave. He has an eye for talent too, I know this because he told me. I wish nothing but the best for him after his prestigious career. No gold watch for him this year, for I gave him something better. Hootie and the Blowfish collection set. Signed by Hootie himself. I hope as he’s listening to some great music as he sits back in his home in cape cod he can look back at his hall of fame career. You’re my hero Dave.. I will leave you all with this, we’re going to prove to all the doubters that we will make this right. If I have to work 2 days a month, I will do it. For I am not only a multi, multi, multi, millionaire. I’m just like all you hard working blue collar fans. I put my pants on one leg at a time just like you all, I just have someone doing it for me.
