Linderbaum then claimed the No. 1 spot in 2020 before making history in 2021, closing out his fourth and final year as a Hawkeye by tying for the highest single-season PFF grade from a Power Five center (94.4).9. I cant see Thibs falling to 5. Maybe 3. Karlaftis is pretty solid. Just behind the top 2 pass rushers IMO.

Does Karlaftis fit this defense is the question? Our traditional four man front, he’s a no-brainer. This defense? Can get creative with the front four yet the linebackers don’t fit.

Still don't know if I value edge rusher over OT at this point. Personally, I'd be happier with Ekwonu and Drake Jackson/Myjai Sanders/Kingsley Enagbare over Karlaftis and Darrian Kinnard/Danny Faalele

I figured you'd like him as a 3-4 DE, weren't you the one saying how D-Law was best utilized from over center?? I honestly haven't studied enough tape on him to make a solid call

From what I've read, he's got a high motor, great hands, incredible power, a plethora of pass rush moves, and a good 1st step. Sounds like his biggest drawbacks are his length and his lateral quickness

His trunk is bigger, kinda like Tuck but he doesn’t appear to have those JPP, Osi, Kiwi type hips. He’s not wiry and he’s not 3-4 heavy. He’s kinda between. All i know is like him . . . but does he fit? lol

He doesn't have the arm length, flexibility, lateral agility, or tackle radius like the aforementioned, but as long as we don't task him with dropping into coverage we should be able to hide his deficiencies.... Still not in my top 4 pass rushers, maybe #5 for me, LOP

Meh, he seems like another Quincy Roche, and I'm fine with the Roche we already have. Doesn't seem like a dynamic pass rusher or edge setter, but someone with a good motor, decent technician, who can get the job done despite athletic limitations

Mr. Fletch if we get either THIBS or Hutchinson and either of the Tackles that’s a great victory towards building a great team. If we are reaching for say the 4th best edge IMHO like Karlaftis and then taking LINDERBAUM I think it will not help us like people think it would.

I suspect that Neal will be their pick at the top. Be interesting to see how it plays out over the next few months, and draft day especially.
