I don’t buy the whole not Millionaires vs Billionaires argument. As usual in these situations the fans are the losers. And when it’s all said and done they will all come back and the billions will be divided slightly different in a way that none of us really gives a damn about. What a shame.

I don’t understand the appeal of baseball anymore. Was a diehard, played in college and coached. The sport lost its appeal for me. Revenues remain high and viewership can be shared Nationally and worldwide now yet not sure of the exact viewing stats. Idk, the sport just seems so boring.
As a Mets fan, i know the booth is good but gosh, i can’t sit there for hours daily listening to Gary Cohen’s endless library of stats and worthless stories. It’s like a very old man’s game. Too much happening in the world to be gung ho for baseball.

Depending on how long the strike is, fans will not be climbing over one another to watch the games. Baseball got us back when they turned a blind eye to steroid use. With social media being ever so powerful, you can’t do that again. I’m all for people getting their money, it’s why we go to work everyday. If you’re good at something, don’t do it for free.
Baseball already is labeled a boring sport. This isn’t helping to gain more fans.

they say pro soccer is taking over and baseball boring. What so exciting about soccer?
Guys running around for an hour and half and score one or two goals. Not taking away the athletic ability but its boring as ****.
Parents like it for their kids because it gets them moving tires them out.....period.

I kinda don't get any sport that doesn't allow any players (other than the goalie) to use their hands - us humans' most versatile attachment. But does promote using their heads, where cerebral integrity is key - to block and propel the ball.

Get ready for a juiced ball to bring the fans back again circa mid-late 90's. As a Mets fan for 40 years, a season without baseball may actually be good for my health.

Lockout over, fans win! Theeeeeeeeeeeee fans win!!!! 5 years of labor peace, hopefully the deal works out decently for players and as it runs out, they have a much more harmonious extension or new deal done without this kind of stress. Let the good times begin.
