Like this pick. Was mostly a blocker (and a really good one) at SDSU, and was under-used as a receiver. He has the skill to be a good receiver too , but unlike Engram….he’s a true TE and not a big receiver who blocks a little.

ESPN didn't even show the Giants pick. They went to commercial and it flashed on the bottom of the screen.
NFLN > ESPN

Bellinger? Meh…slow, short lunging tight end that can’t get separation ….scraping some players with some low grades these last few rounds…well, since round 2. But what do I know…trust the process.

Here is the thing Something I predicted,we were going to let the playmakers be dynamic and explosive and the TE will be an extra o lineman that can move the chains/be a red zone target... I keep going back to Jake Ballard...he had the same attributes.... If our outside guys are opening up the entire field we don't need a dynamic TE Look at how Tampa used a kinda past his peak physical prime Gronk and Brate....you play in fear of the weapons those guys will eat you alive steadily moving the chains... Maybe because I'm 100% over match up nightmare TEs that are Overglorified big slot WRs

So not that familiar with this safety 1.we were in dire need of a body there and probably a BPA 2. Very productive 3.Wink seems to be familiar with him... Seems to be a box/hybrid type Ala Peppers was ..
3 picks next round... Think we can get another O lineman and a back....then maybe double up at TE or WR ? Remem

Dane Belton
Snap Count by position in 2021
Deep - 57 Box - 290 Slot - 536 Outside - 9
Seems like a in the box only safety to me. I really like the potential here

Similar to yesterday, I don't know much about these picks but I like both positions and I'm really liking what I hear. 1) A blocking TE who played in a run heavy offense in college, but has the tools to be a dependable receiver. 2) A versatile, hard hitting Safety who seems to have a nose for the ball.
Seems like a solid start.

His grade for me, is a why too, as in why in the 4th round? System wise, all teams need a Y ….

Back to the road... Will talk after our last pick
Remember we get a head start talking to potential UDFAs after our early 6th round pick so don't be surprised we sign a few quickly
Seems we had both those last picks high on our boards with how quickly we turned in the card

The new TE ran a 4.65 40 and at that size he very well could be another Dawson Knox, who was also unheralded……and now look at him. Ballard was a lumbering TE……this guy can run.

I would have liked that Dylan Parham lineman but other than that I'm happy about our first 4 rounds.

For what we've had and been doing the past over 5 years has not been working and the players we have did not get it done/mesh, ect. So you take the players that fit what you want to do and the system you want and you let things play out. He's exactly what we needed given what we have and are trying to build. We WILL NOT have burners at every position but we need players as the Pats put it to DO THEIR DAMN JOB and I think that's what the new regime is trying to accomplish here.... His recieving will come and will be a plus so we're good.............
