He was becoming a regular healthy scratch. He wanted to play. They traded him and opened up a bunch of trade deadline cap space. It is what it is.

We'll see how that trade turns out.
I liked Reeves but really no sense if he's just going to be continually scratched from play.
Don't like how we played the ducks tonight. This team hates Halak's guts. Can't play worth a shit in front of him.
Loved that we beat LA but should have beat Anaheim as well. 5 ****ing win team takes us out in regulation. Pretty sure that was Anaheim's first win in regulation this season.
32nd ranked team in a league of 32 teams and we can't beat them tonight. Again, I keep saying its early in the season, but this is a game you should ****ing win.

I hope the (blank) not.

Halak sucks. Both 2nd period goals that doomed us were soft as baby shit. Just bring up Domingue. Horseshit. Rangers bombarded Gibson with quality chances and hit 6 posts. It’s just misfortune that happens in the NHL sometimes. But if your Goalie stopped basic shots you still would have won.

Way to follow up a terrible loss with another terrible loss today.
3 goal lead going into the 3rd period and we lose in regulation 4-3.
Yea, "No Quit in NY" ... Where is the red font when I need it.
Most if not all other NHL franchises that had the success we had last season would be showing some of that grit, hard work, and ability to win games that they should... Like against the worst team in the league or having a 3 goal lead going into the 3rd period.
But not us. Really not liking what I'm seeing on the ice this season. Hope we turn it around but right now this team gives me 0 confidence.

I'm going to a game in a week or so (next Monday against Columbus), I hope they put up a better showing, but judging from the last few weeks, I'm not getting my hopes up. Haven't been to the garden since just pre-covid, so I'm really looking forward to it.

I don't know what they're doing this year but I'll give them the whole year's leash. Right now, I don't like this team, they're soft, they leave the goalie out too dry often, they have no grit and they're not currently playing well on offense or defense. I look around and I see two clearly better teams in the division and the immediate geography. The FO is either gonna deal with this or they aren't.

Anybody want to play defense? Looks like the NBA with everybody anticipating the fast break.

Rangers simply just have nothing but misfortune. This tying goal is just unlucky garbage flung in from the blue line. Hits Trouba and bounces in. My god man.

And then lose in OT after blowing numerous point blank chances. This just isn’t the year for the Rangers. Trade Panarin. Find a taker.

That looks less like misfortune and more like bad hockey to me. You give up the tying goal with 40 seconds left and then give up a breakaway game loser with 20 seconds left in OT? The Rangers have been giving away leads and games all year. They're exactly what their record says they are.

He is to defenses lapses as Panarin is to useless cross ice failed passes.

This team finally figuring it out possibly. That’s a good comeback and win tonight.

Take it vs Leafs although the Rangers really couldn't skate out of their end most of the third period

Didn't get a chance to watch the game last night but saw the score.
5 in a row now and the last was against a hot team that hadn't lost in regulation in a month I think I read somewhere.
Hope we can keep it rolling against the philthy cryers tomorrow.

If they are really turning the corner 5 or 6 points should be the expectation.

Nice to see K'Andre Miller pick up his game... That was an incredible goal.
Panarin giving away the puck which lead to a short hander was annoying but a good win overall and hopefully more of the same tonight.

Hope Chytil is ok. Was a few moments I wish Reaves was here. Was getting a bit crazy out there. Afterwards, this was a figure skating game.

Afterwards, this was a figure skating game. yea that looked like a late hit to me and it was one to the head as well. Probably concussed tested and hopefully nothing serious. Got a little rough in the 2nd but what a great game. Hawks are in rebuild and we beat them like they were. So 7 wins and counting. Maybe it was a hangover from last season is why we struggled because we're starting to stack the wins. Got a big game against Pittsburgh in two days. Looking great so far. Lets Go Rangers!!.

The Rangers are starting to fill up the net! I like it.
I'd still like for them to be more responsible defensively but Shersterkin has sharpened up a bit and the offense is hitting more net than goalies and posts for a change. They were sharp offensively tonight.

Definitely getting their swag back lately. Games where they can pump in 5+ goals is a real good sign (even against garbage teams). Igor has been amazing, as always. Hopefully they are back on track and can make a key move or two before the deadline to hit full stride when it matters most.
A few huge division games this week. The real test IMO.

pretty good day. Giants, Knicks and Rangers all won, and Pokes got beat in glorious fashion. If only the Bears had completed the fete!!!
