Just part of Saquon's response below. Maybe he has history with this reporter which triggered him to respond like this...not sure, but either way I understand the frustration.
"This is probably the last time I'm going to speak on this...I'm not just going to run into my lineman's back. Dancing is something you do in high school football... I'm kind of fed up with people who never played the position who try to speak about how I run the football. We call them All-Pros with clickers in their hand." ..."it's easy to stop the film or TV and say he should have made that cut."
The question/answer from Saquon starts at about 3:43 in the video.

Stats and injuries don’t lie. Barkley hasn’t been anything special since his Rookie year. This is Barkeys last chance for a decent paycheck but that won’t come from the Giants. Zero chance Giants resign Barkley even if he has a great year.

IMO Barkleys problem isn't cutting and hitting the right hole. His problem is he doesn't have the same speed and power he once had since his injury. He cant even break arm tackles from a corner anymore. Hopefully he's had time to fully recover.

He cant even break arm tackles from a corner anymore. Hopefully he's had time to fully recover. He’s a virgin, needs assistance to find the right hole. His biggest problem isn’t the line, play calling, or injuries.. it’s him.. The once teflon back, is now target practice for any would be marksman. His rookie year feels like a lifetime ago, the back who ran around and over everyone is now being tackled by a calm breeze. Injuries piled on like a stack of unpaid bills, on top of that the team has been a revolving door of disaster since he has been drafted.

Barkley's biggest issue is injury. If he is on the field consistently he will produce in a big way overall.
I like that he he is pissed off. He also realizes, and has been public about it, that his pay needs to be better.

I think that was a mistake. Sounds like he’s very frustrated, which is understandable. While I agree with those that say the tapes doesn’t lie, I also understand his frustration with answering questions from folks that aren’t qualified to carry jocks. I’d imagine pretty much all players feel that way, you just can’t say it aloud. There’s only one way to shut up most of the peanut gallery, have a great season.

It doesn't excuse it, it's his job to pretend try to look past these dolts to communicate to the fans but man, just dealing with the constant back seat driving and monday morning quarterbacking is a job in itself.

Someone ask Saquon to describe what he sees when he rewatches himself in pass protection on film.
Hopefully he is ashamed.

The only place he can silence most of his critics is on the field. I say most because there are still plenty of fans and media people that will still bitch and complain about the guy regardless.

Rookie Saquan can talk like that... the guy that did that weird flying spin against the Dolphins last year can't..

Saquon is such a frustrating case - on one hand he's a tremendously talented player who has the character and temperament to be the face of a franchise. On the other hand he's an oft-injured running back who was drafted way too high and has only had two good years.
I mean come on, when you draft an RB at #2 overall he basically has to be Barry Sanders to justify the pick. That position probably has the lowest shelf life and you need 2 or 3 guys who can start there in the modern NFL. It's just really irresponsible to draft a running back that high and now it's put us in a bad spot.

Zero chance Giants resign Barkley even if he has a great year. I’m not so sure about that last statement. While I do agree it’s likely we move on from Barkley, it’s also likely we’ll have a new QB on a rookie contract giving us money to spare. If Barkley looks like the Barkley of old, I could see the team signing him for a few years. He could be a good weapon/security blanket for the young QB to grow with.

While what he said is true, the fact that he said it is frustration talking. He's pissed off at the way his NFL career has gone. I don't blame him, if everyone was calling me a superstar at 22 years old before I even played a down, I'd have pretty damn high expectations of myself too.
I wonder where he'd be right now having been drafted by another team and no injuries.

Even on the NYGs, with no injuries, his career stats and production would have been much much better IMO.

He also realizes, and has been public about it, that his pay needs to be better. He has the DG / #2 overall pick hanging over his head. People are gonna keep trying to bury a guy in DG who is already buried. Saquon and more so Jones are 2 big legacy pieces for that guy. I have to laugh he converts short yardage when there's no movement, where he has a problem is guys 3 yards deep in the backfield, just trying to be be fare he had a historic year as a rookie and year 2 he had a really good one with 1400 yards combined and 7 TD even tho he missed 3 games with a six to eight week injury and still wasn't healthy when he returned. Guys who play through high ankles are not soft. I hope he proves them all wrong he never throws his OL under the bus or QB or coaches, the fact is watch his runs if guys don't see him running with power with an excellent stiff arm and running through tacklers on some of the many huge plays they are lying to themselves about what kind of talent this kid is. Yes and RB at 2 was dumb the trade was the right move. I for one will not gonna run with false narratives on a kid that when healthy is as dominate an offensive weapon as there is. Health as you said is main thing and having some coaches who know how to use a multi dimensional talent like Barkley. Dude has never lost fumble with some luck and has only fumbled maybe 4 or 5 times. As a fan I'm rooting for him hope he earns a nice pay day wether he is here or else where kid is a quality player and teammate.

Holding that against him as some do is effing mind boggling. As I have if he can consistently stay on on the field he will be very productive for sure.

I think healthy he would have been good for 1400 to 1700 a year with 7 to 10 TDs even with the pathetic OL. With no ACL those #s were realistic that injury happened early and cost him a full year and half plus the ankle that was a weird injury stepping on some ones foot. They say he looks more dynamic now and is head and shoulders the best athlete on the field for the Giants hope for health, He helps take the pressure off DJ and the rest of the offense
